Busch Beer Dog Contest: How To Enter Chance To Win $20,000 and Free Dog Brew

Busch is expanding its Dog Brew beverage line, an alcohol-free broth for dogs, but it needs help from a chief tasting officer (CTO).

The beer brand first launched the pork bone-based drink last summer and announced the contest to find the lucky pooch on Tuesday.

The "pawfessional taste-taster" will have very important responsibilities that include taste-testing, quality control, as well as fulfilling duties as an ambassador for the product to lead the expansion of Dog Brew's flavor portfolio.

Clearly, this role is not just any dog, as Busch states: "In order to fetch this position, some qualifications include a refined palate, an outstanding sense of smell, and while not required, proficiency in English would be remarkable."

The lucky pup will be awarded $20,000, plus company perks including healthcare (pet insurance) and company stock (free Dog Brew), on top of becoming the face of Busch Dog Brew.

If you think your pooch is cut out for the job, apply on their behalf by posting a picture of your dog on social media along with their qualifications using the hashtag #BuschCTOcontest.

Pet owners have been sharing photos of their good boys and girls on Twitter, like Brady Dreamer who applied on behalf of Barley, who is "a pawfessional Busch Dog Brew drinker" and "can sit and stay and loves to pose for pictures. She is very cooperative and will do anything for a treat!"

Colin Schmitz entered his dog Clark, a 6-month-old Golden Retriever puppy, and said: "He is qualified because he has seen me drink a lot of Busch and he has been itching to drink with me.

"Being a pawfessional taste-taster will allow him to drink with me without judgment from the other dogs."

Busch offered Barley and Clark a 20 percent discount for applying and said they will review their qualifications.

Busch Dog Brew

Busch's Dog Brew is a bone broth made up of bone-in pork butt, whole corn, celery, basil, mint, turmeric, ginger, and water—but rest assured, the brew does not contain alcohol.

According to Busch, the Dog Brew is a "nutritious and tasty snack that helps to promote a healthy digestive system.

"Bone broth is also a great way for dogs who struggle to eat solid food to get all of their extra nutrients."

Busch recommends serving the brew in your dog's bowl by itself or over food and says it can be served cold or at room temperature. However, the Dog Brew is not a meal replacement.

Dogs can drink the entire can in one sitting, but small dogs may want to enjoy the can over a few days—the can will last for five days in the refrigerator once it's been opened.
