In the introductory video seen above, ASCAP President Paul Williams said, "Latin music—your music—is some of the most popular music in the world. That's because its rhythms, passion, honesty and deep love for both tradition and transcending borders speaks to all of us—no matter what language we speak."
"Normally, this is the time of year we would be gathered together to honor your amazing achievements at El Premio ASCAP, our annual Latin Music Awards. While we can't honor our winners in person this year, we can be together in spirit," added Williams. "Starting today, we're honoring you in a brand new way, inviting fans from all over the world to join in and celebrate your success."
