How to Get Krispy Kreme Free Donuts If You've Been Vaccinated

Krispy Kreme is giving away free original glazed doughnuts to anyone who gets their COVID-19 vaccine every day for the rest of the year—and no, the offer is not too good to be true.

When Krispy Kreme announced the promotion on Monday, it was met with mixed reactions.

Matt Oswalt said: "In 2 years Tom Hanks is gonna win an Oscar for playing the guy at Krispy Kreme whose idea to give out a free donut every day for a year to anyone getting vaccinated ultimately saved our nation, isn't he?"

However, Stephen Colbert pointed out how the offer could be a little too tempting and said: "Krispy Kreme is offering free donuts to anyone who's been vaccinated. Which is great news for anyone who got the shot but still has a death wish."

Nevertheless, if you're a fan of doughnuts (especially the free kind) here's how you can claim free Krispy Kreme doughnut every day for the rest of the year.

How to claim a free Krispy Kreme doughnut

Anyone who has had at least one shot of the Moderna, Pfizer, or Johnson & Johnson vaccine is eligible to claim a free doughnut. To prove their eligibility, Krispy Kreme customers simply need to present their COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card—a COVID-19 vaccine sticker does not qualify for the promotion.

Customers must bring their own vaccination record card to Krispy Kreme to redeem the free original glazed doughnut, and they cannot redeem doughnuts on behalf of family members and friends by also presenting their vaccination cards.

However, a group of people each with their own vaccination card will be able to redeem one free doughnut each.

The offer is limited to one original glazed doughnut per customer, per day, at participating U.S. locations, including at a shop or via the drive-through. However, the offer is not available to claim through online ordering nor via delivery.

Additionally, the doughnut will be completely free, as the offer is available with no purchase necessary—all you have to do is show your COVID-19 vaccination card.

But what about those who choose not to have the COVID vaccine? Krispy Kreme has considered those who will not receive the vaccine and they won't have to miss out on the promotion completely.

Krispy Kreme says: "We understand that choosing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine is a highly personal decision. We advise all employees and guests to consult with their healthcare provider regarding whether to obtain a COVID-19 vaccination and which vaccine to receive after reviewing the available information."

Krispy Kreme customers who choose not to receive the vaccine can visit Krispy Kreme on Mondays, between March 29 and May 24, 2021, to receive a free original glazed doughnut and a medium brewed coffee.
