Gaspard Ulliel made his posthumous debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Moon Knight's third episode on Wednesday, April 13.
The late French actor died in a tragic skiing accident on January 19, 2022, when he collided with another skier and suffered a traumatic head injury.
Ulliel portrays Anton Mogart, also known as Midnight Man, in the Disney+ series, and his character came into contact with Oscar Isaac's dual character Marc Spector/Steven Grant and his wife Layla El-Faouly (May Calamawy).
Here is how the Marvel show paid tribute to the It's Only the End of the World star.

How 'Moon Knight' Paid Tribute to Gaspard Ulliel
Marc and Layla decide to meet with Mogart in order to look for clues to the location of Ammit's tomb, which is inscribed on the mummy of Senfu in his possession.
Layla gives Marc an alias for the meeting and they walk up towards Mogart who is seen playing in a game of El-Mermah Jousting with trainers.
It is explained that Layla and Mogart knew each other in Madripoor in the past, and he shares that she needs no reason to visit him unannounced.
Despite this story Mogart is clearly suspicious of the pair, and this feeling only gets heightened when Layla tries to distract him as Marc confers with Steven to understand how they can use the mummy to learn where Ammit's tomb is.
The pair then get stopped by Mogart's guards, with the Moon Knight villain making it clear to Layla he was disappointed because he was keen to make peace with her and then Ethan Hawke's Arthur Harrow makes an appearance.
Harrow tries to lure Mogart to his side by offering him the scarab that will reveal Ammit's tomb and starts to use her powers, at which point Marc summons the suit of Khonshu.
Mogart is taken away by his guards while Marc fights off his goons and protects Layla from their gunfire.
As the fight continues Mogart returns and makes to attack Layla with a spear, only for the superhero to protect her and hit him with one of his crescent moon blades.
This is the last time that Ulliel's character is seen in the episode, but he is likely to return in future episodes as the character is one of Moon Knight's adversaries.
At the end of the show's credits the Marvel show pays tribute to Ulliel by presenting a title card that read: In Memory of Gaspard Ulliel.
Moon Knight airs every Wednesday on Disney+.
