Ice-T revealed some shocking news on social media about getting "robbed" at a New Jersey gas station recently.

Rapper Ice-T, whose real name Tracy Lauren Marrow, is known for his role as Odafin Tutuola in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, his reality tv series Ice Loves Coco, and hit music.

The musician has garnered millions of streams on Spotify with songs like "Colors" and "6 'N the Mornin'." He's also been nominated for a few Grammys, including a win at the 33rd annual awards for Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group for "Back On The Block." More recently, Ice-T was nominated for Best Metal Performance for "Black Hoodie" at the 60th Grammy Awards.

However, the star's latest tweet got the internet in a frenzy. The post, which has received over 480,000 likes and 75,000 retweets in just seven hours, details a "harrowing" event at a gas station.

"I was robbed at a gas station in NJ last night. After my hands stopped trembling..I managed to call the cops and they were quick to respond and calmed me down.....My money is gone..the police asked me if I knew who did it..I said yes..it was pump number 9...," he wrote.

In New Jersey, there is a law in place where citizens of the state are not allowed to pump their own gas, which, if Ice-T had been in real trouble, would've come in handy. The law could change after a new bill has been introduced to let people choose if they would like to pump their own gas or have someone do it.

All around the world, the price on gas has increased due to the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. According to AAA, the average gas price seen in the United States is $4.236. The state with the highest price per gallon is $5.882 in California. Other countries have seen gas prices have increased to over $6.

Thousands of other Twitter users replied to the Law & Order actors sarcastic commentary on the state of the world.

"You had me scared for a second," @Crobb19 wrote.

@lunch_enjoyer tweeted, "was worried this was real for a second."

"The storytelling, the structure, the misdirection, the killer punchline... a comedy masterclass *chef's kiss*," @TheLondonHughes quote-tweeted the actor's popular tweet.

"This is the greatest dad joke I've ever seen in my life," @DRE_FRGN wrote.

"You're crazy for this one T," @dwane_media said.

@MayoIsSpicyy exclaimed, "Holy s**t! That just made my day!"

"this is an incredible joke," @SarahSquirm replied.

"Brilliant tweet on many levels," @Nnedi tweeted.
