The mother of Kaylee Goncalves, one of the four University of Idaho students fatally stabbed in Moscow, Idaho, last month, has shared her opinion about how the crime was committed.

On Wednesday, Goncalves' mother, Kristi, spoke with ABC News about the investigation into the fatal stabbings of her 21-year-old daughter and three others—Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, also 20, all of whom lived together in the same off-campus home.

"This person went in very methodical," Kristi Goncalves said. "I think he really thought it out. I think he was quick, I think it was quiet. And he got in and he got out."

On November 13, the four victims were found in their 1122 King Road residence near the university. As of Thursday, the Moscow Police Department has yet to identify a suspect or person of interest. Additionally, police have been unable to uncover a weapon that was used but previously said that they were searching for a "fixed-blade knife."

This month, former FBI profiler Mary Ellen O'Toole spoke with Newsweek and offered a similar theory about a possible perpetrator.

"When you murder four people, you're gonna get in and out pretty quickly, and so in order to do that, and lowering your own risk level, you have to have some knowledge of that place," O'Toole said. "This is a very violent person and so there's gonna be violence in their background, and the violence could be towards other people, it could be towards animals, it could be domestic violence, but this is not the first time this person has acted out violently."

Throughout the investigation, police have released limited information to the public, which has prompted an array of theories and speculation across social media.

While speaking with Fox News Digital this week, Kaylee's father, Steve Goncalves, shared new details that he reportedly learned after speaking with the local coroner.

"I got outraged by [police] not just coming out and saying this was a woman or a man because they should know by the amount of strength it took to deliver the injuries," Steve Goncalves said. "There are girls walking around the street right now that deserve to know. They should be looking out for a sadistic male."

In a recent press release, the Moscow Police Department encouraged the public to avoid spreading rumors or theories online as this has led to tips based on speculation being provided.

Newsweek reached out to the Moscow Police Department for comment.
