Former President Donald Trump's legal issues didn't stop him from having a Halloween to remember.

The media personality and politician threw a lavish Halloween party at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida this week. Despite guests turning up in costumes, he wore his trademark suit and went as himself.

Trump, along with others, is facing a $250 million lawsuit filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James for allegedly misvaluing The Trump Organization's assets for financial gain.

His legal troubles didn't seem to dampen the mood, though, as social media clips and photos showed him selecting music to play at the party and receiving a standing ovation from guests.

Mar-a-Lago is a resort and National Historic Landmark in Palm Beach, Florida, that spans 20 acres and has been owned by Trump since 1985. Newsweek has contacted Trump's team via email for comment about the party and the Mar-a-Lago venue.

Among notable figures in attendance, one of the main surprises came when former First Lady Melania Trump was spotted at the get-together.

In a rare outing, the two were seen together at the same event for the first time in seven months. The pair had not been spotted together since having Easter lunch at the Florida property in April this year.

A video on TikTok showed them entering the party together on Tuesday, with Melania a few steps in front of the former president while a Metallica song played.

Like her husband, she opted for the natural look and wore a dark dress with no Halloween attire.

As well as their entrance video, another clip shared on Instagram by Caroline Wren, who had worked on the Trump campaign, showed Trump standing as he received applause. Melanie could be seen sitting down in the video at their private table behind a velvet rope barrier.

Who else was there?

Donald Trump Jr's fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle, wore a Snow White costume to the party, while senior advisor to Trump Lynne Patton was spotted wearing all black with black wings and a silver mask.

Patton shared a series of photos on her Instagram stories with guests; one highlighted that she was with "#BrandonStraka". Straka is a self-described "former liberal" who founded the #WalkAway campaign to encourage people to leave the Democratic Party.

American country music singer, songwriter, and record producer Tracy Lawrence could be seen in several photos online wearing a dark wig and black costume suit.

Founder of the Florida-based business The Billionaires Club Ian Llobregat and his colleague Sudarshan Rajan dressed as Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden.

Facial plastic surgeon Thomas Tzikas also attended in what looked like an outfit inspired by the Danny Zuko character played by John Travolta in Grease.

Welterweight division Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Colby Covington shared a photo standing next to Trump in a Knight outfit.

Conservative media personality Gina Gentry Loudon attended in a fairy-inspired outfit. Captioning a group picture on Instagram, she shared that Trump does use his "iPad during parties and dinners to play music" and that he selected the song "Rich Men North of Richmond" by ‎Oliver Anthony for her.

Actress Gillian Lieberman wore a silver Cinderella-inspired outfit.

The @themaralagoclub official Instagram account has not posted a new image since 2019. However, the 'tagged' section of the account shows several images and videos from the event.
