The internet has been stunned after a 100-year-old man shared his secret for a long life in a viral TikTok video.
In the footage posted last week, TikTok user blancheandcompany made available her incredible discussion with centenarian Joe to her roughly 12,100 followers. The video has gone on to be viewed an estimated 1.4 million times online.
The clip, which can be viewed here, started with the user stating that she was having breakfast with her 100-year-old neighbor who could be seen leaving his home.
Seconds later, blancheandcompany filmed her conversation with Joe where he mentioned the importance of staying active and joked that to "keep breathing" was equally vital for those wanting to reach three digits.
While Joe said the real reason "has to be in the genes," he revealed one of his favorite hobbies was painting in his basement.
As the TikTok user followed Joe through his home, she said in a voiceover: "I think one of my favorite parts of the whole morning was when he took me down into his basement to show me to see his painting studio.
"So, he's painted his whole life and it gives him purpose, something to look forward to and you're not going to believe the paintings that he still does."
@blancheandcompany Fed my soul this morning and spent time with my 100yearsold neighbor. We can all learn lessons from my friend Joe!

When the pair arrived downstairs, Joe showed off his latest painting and explained his technique to the user before the clip ended.
Since being uploaded on Saturday, the clip has attracted some 216,500 likes and has been shared more than 7,250 times.
Many TikTok users raced to the comment section to share their amazement that Joe was so mobile and active for his age.
One TikTok user said: "He's so fast. And talks so strong. I would guess this man is in his 70s."
Another added: "His secret is staying stress-free. I think as you grow up and older, stress trauma and stuff in that ballpark take a serious toll."
While a third commented: "I'm actually pretty impressed. He's so young and healthy."
The TikTok user who uploaded the video shared her disbelief about Joe's age and joked that his birth certificate surely had to be wrong.
She added: "I know. I keep thinking they made an error on his birth certificate."
Newsweek has contacted blancheandcompany for comment.
