A user on Reddit showed the moment their veterinarian replied to an alleged anti-masker's review of the practice.

The post, which was published on Wednesday by u/Desert-DooDoo in the subreddit "Quit Your Bulls**t" has received over 20,000 votes and 149 comments in only 22 hours.

"My new veterinarian is an absolute savage!" reads the caption of the post. In the Reddit post, a user shared a screenshot of a review that was left for their veterinarian's office. The review was from a man named Rob who gave the vet practice one star. Rob said, "very unprofessional do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!!!!"

In response to the review, the owner of the practice replied, "Rob you've never been here." The owner continued the response by explaining that they remember Rob from their old clinic back in October when he refused to wear a mask inside the practice.

"I'm absolutely THRILLED that you haven't come to my new clinic, as you are absolutely not welcome here," the vet's response read. "We have incredible clients who have mutual respect for not only me as their doctor but my staff as well."

The reply ended with the owner of the practice writing, "Bad behavior like yours is not tolerated, nor should it be. Good. Riddance. The trash took itself out."

According to Physicians Practice, about 35 percent of online reviews for physician's practices are complaints about poor customer service and about 21 percent are complaints about poor medical treatment including "poorly skilled providers." Their team recommends never to overreact to a negative comment and never to lash out at the reviewer.

Writers at Vetstoria recommend taking a quick timeout before reacting to any negative reviews. It's recommended to take a step away from the negative review in order to rationally and professionally reply publicly.

"Give yourself some time to get over the initial shock and anger and into a better temperament where you can address this client's complaints head-on, yet rationally," a writer at Vetstoria recommends.

After a cool down, it is recommended that a public response is posted under the review so the reviewer feels fully heard out. Vetstoria also recommends asking the reviewer to privately contact the physician in order to talk out the problem in a non-public setting.

Many users commented on the Reddit post saying the vet "destroyed" the person who left the review. Others said the problem with posts like this is it's difficult to know if the physician is truly the problem.

"See my issue with these posts is that there's no way to know the business owner isn't the one who's full of shit," @Wolfman87 commented.

Others replied to the comment claiming that regardless of not knowing the full context, the reviewer seems to have a personal grudge against the physician.

"Wait, did this person get so upset at being asked to wear a mask ... that they followed the other person as they moved to a new job, then posted a bad review there? ... The f***?" user @Fenixfrost commented.
