'It's Giving Robbery': Balenciaga's New Fashions Have Internet in Stitches

Balenciaga's newest fashion show has the internet cracking jokes about what the models were seen wearing down the runway.

The high-end fashion brand and sportswear brand, Adidas, have teamed up for a collaboration for the Spring 2023 collection. In a video that has gone viral on social media, the internet got a look at what the models were wearing on the runway and it was very unique. Published to TikTok, @super__models shared a video that has over 12 million views and 2 million likes.

As shown in the videos, models strut down the runway in the new collection, however, showgoers were unable to see the models' faces as they were covered head-to-toe wearing blue, yellow and black fabric. Some were wearing sunglasses and others had hair to match the outfits. One model had on a full-body latex outfit that was the talk of the internet.

Many celebrities attended the fashion show including Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, Alexa Demie, Megan Thee Stallion, Pharrell and Frank Ocean.

The internet was quick to comment their thoughts and opinions on the looks.

"Kim is going to get one," one TikTok user joked referring to Kim Kardashian's 2021 Met Gala look.

"THOSE GUYS R SO AGGRESSIVE," another user said.

One user wrote, "It's giving robbery."

"Im gonna see sparkle dress in my nightmares fosho but its vibey," exclaimed another.

"No cause 4 scared me," one said.

"i do not understand fashion anymore," a user noted.

Another joked, "LMAO I'D BE BANNED IN THERE CUZ I WOULDN'T STAND 3 SECONDS WITHOUT LAUGHING."

"The 4th one is giving American horror story murder house," a user exclaimed.

"No bc for some reason the outfits remind me of the Kardashian's," another TikTok account said.

"I don't belong to this kind of events, I will die laughing seeing them in person," another user pointed out.

There are a total of 33 articles of clothing in the collection including shirts, shoes, dresses, tracksuits, sweatshirts and others. The collection is available to purchase now and is selling fast.

Balenciaga also went viral recently as the internet thought the fashion brand was selling a pair of very worn-out shoes for over $1,000. Turns out, the shoes weren't as worn-out as people thought it was. The shoes that are being sold on the official Balenciaga website are destroyed, but not as bad as the viral image suggested. The shoes come in black and white and are ripped with "Balenciaga" written along the bottom of the shoe.
