Jake Gyllenhaal has finally broken his silence on Taylor Swift and the recent re-release of her hit album, Red (Taylor's Version), and no, he has not heard it.

In a recent interview with Esquire, Gyllenhaal talks about his early days as a kid, his stellar acting career, and a bit about his ex, Taylor Swift.

The couple briefly dated in 2010 for about three months then called it quits. Two years later, Red was released, which was a worldwide phenomenon. The country-pop album reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. Swift currently has 10 No. 1 albums and 30 Top 10 hits on Billboard's Hot 100 creating singles such as "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."

In the summer of 2019, the news broke that Swift's foe Scooter Braun owned all her master recordings—including Red—due to his purchase of Big Machine Records. Swift decided to re-record all of her previous albums with "Taylor's Version" at the end. Her latest release is Red (Taylor's Version).

While her albums feature new versions of old songs, she also includes music "from the vault" that fans haven't heard yet, featuring the highly anticipated 10-minute version of fan-favorite "All Too Well." Many fans believe that the song is about Gyllenhaal and Swift's relationship.

The song was issued as a single from the re-release, complete with music video featuring Dylan O'Brien and Sadie Sink with Swift writing and directing.

"It has nothing to do with me. It's about her relationship with her fans. It is her expression. Artists tap into personal experiences for inspiration, and I don't begrudge anyone that," Gyllenhaal said.

The actor admitted to turning off his Instagram comments back in 2021, discussing cyberbullying and how society should take a look at what they are putting online and not be hateful to anyone or anything.

He focused the conversation back on how he's feeling nowadays.

"My life is wonderful. I have a relationship that is truly wonderful, and I have a family I love so much. And this whole period of time has made me realize that," he said, ending the discussion on Swift there.

In an interview with ExtraTV, on the red carpet of the "All Too Well" music video, Swift was asked the big question: who's the song about?

"That's one of the interesting questions people ask me all the time about songs," she said. "I think every person out there might have someone they think of when they hear the song, and that's what I want."
