When Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright tie the knot, several of their fellow Vanderpump Rules cast members will be standing alongside them. One cast member that likely won't be present, however, is James Kennedy.
For the past four years or so, fans of the Bravo reality television show have shared the couple's relationship highs and lows. In Season 7, Taylor surprised Cartwright with an engagement ring fit for a queen after a difficult year following the death of his father. On Saturday, the pair will wed at The Kentucky Castle in Versailles, Kentucky, not far from Cartwright's hometown.
Season 7's drama largely centered around the fallout from Kennedy's decision to rap a line about Taylor's infidelity during an event at SUR while Cartwright was present. Later on in the season, Kennedy was criticized for making negative comments about cast member Katie Maloney-Schwartz's body and for his general treatment of the women in the group over the years.
So, while familiar Vanderpump Rules faces make their way to Kentucky for the festivities, Kennedy will likely not join in on the fun. In December, Cartwright told Entertainment Tonight it was "obvious" that Kennedy wouldn't be invited.
"I think everybody can assume that, especially after the first episode," Cartwright added.
In April, Kennedy's girlfriend Raquel Leviss told Us Weekly she would "love to go" to the wedding, but she wasn't sure if they would be invited. However, it wasn't until May 1 that Taylor posted on Twitter that invitations were sent, so it's possible there was a change of heart and Kennedy found one in his mailbox.

Even if the couple doesn't attend Cartwright and Taylor's wedding, it's possible they could be planning their own soon. Kennedy told Us Weekly about a week before the wedding that he and Leviss could be next. He said he loves her "so much" but is cautious about rushing anything because they're significantly younger than the rest of the cast.
Maloney-Schwartz, who married fellow cast member Tom Schwartz in 2016, will be Cartwright's matron of honor. Vanderpump Rules stars Kristen Doute, Scheana Shay, Stassi Schroeder and Ariana Madix are also among the 12 bridesmaids.
Lala Kent, who originally wasn't in the bridal party, was later added after her and Cartwright's friendship deepened. During the Vanderpump Rules after-show in April, Cartwright explained that she talks to Kent almost daily and frequently takes trips with her.
"She's one of my actual best friends ... we've gotten way closer," Cartwright said.
On Taylor's side of the aisle, fans will recognize Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval, both cast members of the show. With a rich history of friendship between all three men, Taylor couldn't choose just one, so he asked both of the Toms to be his best men. Peter Madrigal, a recurring guest on the show since it began, will also be one of Taylor's groomsmen.
