Jason Kelce has been given the seal of approval by his brother's new girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

The Philadelphia Eagles player met the pop star for the first time at the Kansas City Chiefs win against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Both were there to watch Travis Kelce, his younger brother and her boyfriend, help the Chiefs edge closer to the Super Bowl.

Jason Kelce opened up on the moment he went viral in the game by ripping his shirt off and jumping in to the crowd to give people high-fives after Travis Kelce scored the first of his two touchdowns for the game.

He then returned to the private suite where he was watching the game with Swift and his wife, Kylie Kelce, where he kept his top off and started swigging Bud Light beer as the singer laughed at his antics.

"[Kylie] was telling me to be on my best behavior because we're meeting Taylor," Jason Kelce told his brother on the most recent episode of their New Heights podcast.

He spoke of how he had forewarned Kylie Kelce that he planned to rip his shirt off at some point in the game, but was warned against doing so because Swift would be there.

"I'm thinking, 'I'm not asking for permission, I'm doing it'," Jason Kelce explained to his brother, who replied: "Once a Kelce man's determined, there's no f****** stopping them."

Jason Kelce then revealed the first time he met Kylie Kelce he was "black out drunk at the bar" but that was "part of the Jason Kelce charm," and he wanted to make a good first impression on Swift.

Travis Kelce laughed and told him, it was "the best first impression but making the worst impression," and Jason Kelce admitted "it set the bar," for their future actions.

Despite all of that, Swift was a fan of Jason Kelce after their interaction.

"Tay said she absolutely loved you," Travis Kelce told his brother.

Before Swift had even met Jason Kelce, her fans had thrown their support behind the Eagles player when he was spotted crying after his team's sudden-death loss to the Tampa Bay Bucaneers on January 15.

Aside from the season-ending loss, many thought Jason Kelce's tears were due to the fact he was about to announce his NFL retirement and that game was the last of his career.

"i am crying over a 36 yo football player crying, how did this happen?" wrote one person on X, formerly Twitter.

A second posted: "six months ago i gave zero f**** about football & now i'm crying about taylor swift's boyfriend's brother possibly playing his last game"

But Jason Kelce has shut down talk of retirement and said the only source to trust on the matter was him.

"I just don't think you're in the position after a game like that to really make that decision, I just don't," he told Travis Kelce on a previous episode of New Heights. "There's too much emotion in the moment to fully really grasp that decision."
