About four years after they met, Vanderpump Rules stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright will tie the knot, the show's third couple to be married.

The world was first introduced to Taylor in 2013 when the Bravo show first premiered. Cartwright joined during the fourth season when she moved to California to be with Taylor. Over the subsequent seasons, viewers saw the couple navigate an array of difficulties including plastic surgery, infidelity and forgiveness.

On Saturday, Taylor and Cartwright will be wed in Versailles. Oui?! No, not the same Versailles where then-Kim Kardashian married Kanye West. Taylor and Cartwright's nuptials will take place in Versailles, Kentucky, opting for The Kentucky Castle instead of a French palace.

Days before the ceremony, several of the couple's co-stars, including Lala Kent, Kristen Doute, Katie Maloney-Schwartz and Stassi Schroeder, ventured from the West Coast to the Midwest. Other attendees include cast members Tom Sandoval, who is one of Taylor's groomsmen, Scheana Shay and Southern Charm star Shep Rose.

However, one person may be notably absent from the ceremony. It's unclear if Lisa Vanderpump, the matriarch of the show and owner of SUR where the cast worked, will make the trip to Kentucky.

About a week before the couple's wedding, on June 17, Lisa's mother, Jean Vanderpump, passed away at the age of 84. Several outlets reported that she was going to fly to England, where the funeral was expected to occur.

On Tuesday, Lisa shared a photo of herself with her mother and brother, Mark, who passed away about a year earlier, on Twitter. She called it a "tragic year" and thanked everyone for their "beautiful messages and words of kindness."

"Life is so fragile and I have no time for negativity," Lisa wrote in the tweet.

In April 2018, Lisa's brother passed away from an alleged drug overdose, according to Us Weekly, and the reality television star address his passing during the seventh season on Vanderpump Rules.

"Obviously it just being the two of us, we were more like twins," Lisa said. "It's been incredibly difficult, but we have to keep moving forward and make the people that were so important in our lives proud as they watch down over us."

Lisa played an active role in the previous two weddings that occurred on the television show. Before Scheana married Michael Shay in 2014, Michael surprised her with a proposal and Lisa's home. In 2016, Lisa officiated Katie and Tom Schwartz's wedding, which she agreed to during Season 5.

When viewers first met Taylor he was dating Schroeder and fans got a look inside the tumultuous fallout of their relationship. Eight years later, Schroeder's seen Taylor transform into a better man and she told Us Weekly that she's "so happy" for the almost-married couple.

"I've watched him change so much over the years and really shift," she said. "And he is just so ready. He is so thirsty for it. He's like on a deserted island just desperate for family life."
