Jen Shah's fraud case continues to be a major storyline on Season 3 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, but she is not the only cast member of the franchise to have had troubles with the law.
The Bravo star, 49, is currently awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in a New York court on July 11. Her sentencing was recently moved from November 18, 2022, to December 15, 2022.
Shah was arrested in March 2021 while filming Season 2 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City in Utah, as was her former assistant Stuart Smith, who has appeared on RHOSLC in the past.
Both have pleaded guilty to the charges filed against them and it has been reported that Shah could serve up to 30 years in prison.

Shah's legal scandal is just one of many to have hit the Housewives franchise over the years and pop culture expert Valerie Greenberg told Newsweek that this could be due to "these women feeling the pressure to keep up".
Admitting that some do prevail, she said: "Look at Teresa [Giudice], as her acting career is on the rise, she's in love and has so much good in her life. She's set to be part of a Christmas movie."
Further discussing what effect these legal troubles can have on the ladies of Bravo, Greenberg added: "It's important that these women realize they are not untouchable. Jen's day will play out in court and Erika [Jayne] isn't out of the water just yet. I can't comprehend hurting or taking advantage of others but in the court of public opinion everyone loves a good comeback."
Newsweek has everything you need to know about the other Real Housewives who had trouble with the law.

Erika Jayne

Erika Jayne's legal woes have been a huge storyline on the past few season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and in July 2002 a video of her being served a $50 million lawsuit after stepping off a plane in Los Angeles went viral.
It was reported at the time that she was facing allegations in a lawsuit filed by Edelson PC that included racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering, unlawful business practice and deceit, and more.
Jayne's estranged husband, lawyer Tom Girardi, has been accused of misappropriating millions of dollars from clients, including relatives of the Lion Air Flight 610 victims a crash that killed 189 people in 2018, to fund his and Jayne's lifestyles.
The couple announced they were splitting in November 2020 and the next month Edelson PC filed a lawsuit against them both, alleging that their divorce was "a sham attempt to fraudulently protect Tom and Erika's money" and that they "are on the verge of financial collapse and locked in a downward spiral of mounting debts and dwindling funds."
It was then reported that Girardi was being sued by Wells Fargo Financial Services and, in an additional, separate lawsuit, his business partners at firm Girardi Keese over claims he never paid them the approximately $315,000 in income from the partnership.
In August 2021, it was reported that Jayne was being sued for $25 million by the trustee handling the bankruptcy case.
According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, she was named in the suit because she allegedly knew Girardi Keese had been paying her expenses for at least 12 years.
On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Jayne has repeatedly denied involvement in any alleged financial scam involving Girardi.

In May 2019, a man named Nico Kirzis claimed that he loaned PK $1.2 million in 2011 but was only paid back $250,000.
Kirzis dismissed all claims against PK in October 2019.
Lisa Hochstein

Hochstein has denied the allegations.

The star, who recently released her long-awaited She by Shereé clothing line, paid her lawyers $69K for their services but reportedly owed them a further $96k to make up the total of $165K in legal bills.
According to TMZ, Whitfield was ordered to pay the outstanding balance, with interest, in December 2012.
