Joe Biden's Thanksgiving Message Interrupted by Woman Dressed as Plane

Al Roker was interviewing Joe and Jill Biden live from Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in New York when a woman dressed as a plane danced past, waving her arms in the air and smiling broadly for the camera.

The 69-year-old The Today Show host made an emotional return to the parade, which made its way through Manhattan from West 77th Street to Macy's department store, after missing last year's event because of a health issue.

During his live phone interview, the president delivered a Thanksgiving message to the American people, saying, "there's nothing beyond our capacity," while the first lady urged viewers to carry out an act of kindness.

The interview took place while the parade was progressing along the street, resulting in comical scenes as the plane-attired female danced her way across the screen while the president was speaking. She was walking ahead of a larger plane-themed float, including two more people in plane costumes who waved to the camera.

Asked for his Thanksgiving message to viewers, Biden replied: "I think we have to remind ourselves how blessed we are to live in the greatest nation on the face of the Earth...there's nothing beyond our capacity.

"So today's about giving thanks to this country we call home and thanks to all the firefighters, police officers, first responders and our troops, some of whom are stationed abroad. I've never been more optimistic, Al, so and we're delighted to be with you, even by telephone."

At that point, Jill Biden gave her thoughts, saying: "I think it's important that we all commit to an act of kindness today, so call someone and wish them a happy Thanksgiving or do something kind."

The clip was shared on the official The Today Show account on X, formerly Twitter, where it wracked up more than 600,000 views.

Biden also marked the celebration on X, saying: "This Thanksgiving, as Jill and I reflect on our nation's many blessings, we are thankful for our brave service members and the first responders who put so much on the line to keep us safe today and every day."

Former President Donald Trump, the 2024 Republican presidential front-runner, gave his message in a video posted on his Truth Social website. He said: "Today as we gather with our loved ones, we give thanks to Almighty God for his many blessings, including our families, our friends, our neighbors, and this extraordinary country that we all call home."

In a separate post, Trump hit out at his perceived enemies writing: "Happy Thanksgiving to ALL, including the Racist & Incompetent Attorney General of New York State, Letitia "Peekaboo" James, who has let Murder & Violent Crime FLOURISH, & Businesses FLEE; the Radical Left Trump Hating Judge, a "Psycho," Arthur Engoron, who Criminally Defrauded the State of New York, & ME, by purposely Valuing my Assets at a "tiny" Fraction of what they are really worth in order to convict me of Fraud before even a Trial, or seeing any PROOF, & used his Politically Biased & Corrupt Campaign Finance Violator, Chief Clerk Alison Greenfield, to sit by his side on the "Bench" & tell him what to do; & Crooked Joe Biden, who has WEAPONIZED his Department of Injustice against his Political Opponent, & allowed our Country to go to HELL; & all of the other Radical Left Lunatics, Communists, Fascists, Marxists, Democrats, & RINOS, who are seriously looking to DESTROY OUR COUNTRY. Police made a number of arrests after a group of demonstrators attempted to block the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York by gluing themselves to the road while chanting "liberation for Palestine and planet."
