Almost 20 years ago, Fox launched a reality dating show titled Joe Millionaire, which saw a group of women try and draw the eye of a man who was said to be worth millions.

And now the channel have decided to revive the program and create the spin-off Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer, which has a similar concept but gives it a modern twist.

Here is everything we know so far about the reality show.

When is Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer out?

In November, Fox confirmed that they had plans to revive the show and it would be released on Thursday, January 6, 2022.

Fox Entertainment's president of alternative and specials Rob Wade shared a statement at the time about the new show, which was released by Variety.

In his statement, Wade said: "This revival of 'Joe Millionaire' represents a potent combination: one of the most innovative and popular dating shows of all time with SallyAnn Salsano, who ranks among the most fearless producers in the business.

"I've long admired 'Joe Millionaire' for its daring premise, and since the moment I joined Fox, I've wanted to bring it back in the spotlight in a whole new way for both new viewers and fans of the original."

What will happen in Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer?

The concept of the show is similar in some sense to the original: 20 women will vie for the affections of a particular suitor, except this time there are two 'Joe's', one rich and the other poor.

However, the women won't know which man is a millionaire and who is broke in a bid to see if they can decide what is more important to them; love or money.

The women will date both men over the course of the series to see if they have a romantic connection.

Who stars in Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer?

The cast for Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer was revealed ahead of the show's release, and the two 'Joe's' are CEO's Kurt Sowers and Steven McBee.

The names of the women set to appear on the show have also been announced, they are known by just their first name on the show, and they include: Amanda, Amber, Andreea, Annie, Breanna, Brookell, and Carah.

Other contestants looking for love are Caroline, Carolyn, Doris, Jennie, Katy, Monica, Rachel, Sara, Suzan, Suzette, and Whitney.

Is there a trailer for Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer?

Yes, a trailer has been revealed for the new reality show which teased the updated concept and gave a first look at the sparks that fly between the women and the two 'Joe's' they are paired with.

As with many reality shows of this nature, the show is also going to be full of drama as suggested in the trailer, where it was revealed one among the group was there "for the wrong reasons."

Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer starts airing on Fox from Thursday, January 6 at 8 p.m. and it will be available at a later date on Tubi.
