Things got tense in Joe Rogan's podcast studio as he challenged a guest over his stance on abortion rights and rape, making his point more personal by mentioning his daughter.

The host of The Joe Rogan Experience had a long and open discussion with his guest Seth Dillon, the founder and CEO of satirical news site The Babylon Bee.

A clip of the pair discussing Roe v. Wade and abortion rights is being discussed online, with viewers largely praising Rogan for his stance and for taking his guest to task.

On the topic of abortions and women's rights to have them, the two men came to an impasse.

"There are women who have been raped who should not have to f******* carry some rapist's baby. There's women who have been sexually assaulted before the age of 14," Rogan said.

Dillon said: "There are people who have been born of rape and are alive right now, and are pro-life. They go around speaking and say how, 'I had a right to live.' They will go around and make a case, and they were born of a rape."

The Babylon Bee is a conservative Christian news satire site, which is often referred to as the conservative version of The Onion. The website remains live but in March 2022 Twitter suspended it for naming Rachel Levine Man of the Year, informing The Babylon Bee that it had to delete the tweet to get back on the site.

Continuing the discussion, Rogan firmly told Dillon: "You don' have the right to tell a 14-year-old girl she has to carry a rapist's baby. Do you understand what you're saying?"

"You don't have the right to tell my 14-year-old daughter she has to carry her rapist's baby.

"You understand that, it's a 14-year-old child. A 14-year-old child gets raped, you say that they have to carry that baby?" Rogan asked.

Rogan is father to two daughters, born in 2008 and 2010.

"I don't think two wrongs make a right. I don't think murder fixes a rape," Dillon said.

When pressed further by Rogan, Dillon said he thinks that as soon as "life" has begun, it was never acceptable for an abortion to take place.

Rogan and Dillon's heated exchange was just a small part of a long, almost three-hour episode of the The Joe Rogan Experience. The clip of their conversation on abortion was shared on Reddit and Twitter, drawing strong opinions from people on both sides of the argument.

"Thank you @SethDillon for standing for the human right to life—without exception—on @joerogan's show today," wrote anti-abortion activist Lila Grace Rose on Twitter, sharing a clip of the exchange on the podcast.

However, an upvoted comment on Reddit said: "Joe talks about his own daughter. The other goof talks about some Christian influencers who give lectures about themselves."
