John Rich's jab at Fani Willis is taking over social media, with his post prompting a mixed reaction online.

The country music star mocked the Fulton County district attorney in a post on X, formerly Twitter, on Saturday.

The 50-year-old shared a photo of a woman's butt in ripped jeans, labeled "Fani," alongside a snap of Willis (Todd Bridges) from the late 1970s sitcom Diff'rent Strokes.

"What you talk about?" Rich captioned the two images, quoting Gary Coleman's catchphrase from the ABC show. At the time of publishing, the post had over 66,000 views.

Newsweek has reached out to John Rich for comment via the contact form on his website.

Some users praised Rich's post, with Chris Kelly commenting: "well played Sir ... well played." "Hilarious," wrote All Raider.

"You win the best post on the entire internet," said Dee.

However, others slammed Rich for the post, with Michelle writing: "You're better than this."

"John Rich has the mentality of a five-year-old. Not surprising," said @BitterGirl2128.

"Is this what old white guys call humor?" wrote @briansantacruz, while Lana Kleinhardt said: "Don't go away mad just go away."

Willis is leading the criminal investigation against Donald Trump in Georgia, following his alleged attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 general election.

The former president was arrested in Fulton County in August and has pleaded not guilty to the 13 counts against him. Trump has alleged the case is politically motivated, with the 77-year-old currently the favorite to land the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

There are 18 other co-defendants in the case, including former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Trump election lawyer John Eastman, Trump's friend and celebrity publicist Trevian Kutti, and Trump's former legal advisor Jenna Ellis, who pleaded guilty in October.

However, Willis may be disqualified from the case due to her relationship with Nathan Wade, the special prosecutor she appointed to lead the prosecution in 2021.

The case against Willis was filed by Michael Roman, a former employee of Trump and one of the co-defendants, in January. A two-day hearing was held on Thursday and Friday as part of an investigation into misconduct claims.

Willis and Wade began a "personal relationship" beginning in 2022, according to an affidavit signed by Wade.

Roman alleged that Willis and Wade have been dishonest about the timeline of their relationship, claiming their involvement dates back to October 2019. He accused the couple of exploiting taxpayers' money, although Wade refuted claims that Willis profited from hiring him.

Rich endorsed Trump in the 2016 general election, performing at the politician's inaugural gala in 2017.

In 2022, Rich claimed he'd been "black-balled" in the music industry due to his conservative views.

"Even though I've been blackballed by Music Row, lobbyists for the liberal country music industry are hitting me up to lean on conservative members of Congress to push legislation that helps big music companies," Rich wrote on X. "What was my answer? GO KICK ROCKS."

The Grammy nominee regularly hits out at liberal figures on social media, recently taking aim at fellow country singer Brad Paisley, Democratic Senate hopeful Ruben Gallego, pop star Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.
