K-pop royalty BTS have reached another milestone as the song "Euphoria" has garnered more than 100 million streams on Spotify.

The song, released in August 2018 as part of the group's Love Yourself: Answer album and sung by BTS member Jungkook, is reportedly the first song by a male K-pop singer to have surpassed 100 million streams on the music platform and is the third most streamed song by a Korean solo artist on Spotify, according to Allkpop.

The solo track is featured on the soundtrack of HBO television series Euphoria in the finale of Season 1 and is the longest-charting song by a male K-pop artist on the Billboard world digital song sales chart, while a million unique listeners on the South Korean streaming platform Genie have listened to the song, Allkpop reports.

The song has climbed music charts in 93 countries and was reportedly originally written for Justin Bieber, according to Melanie Fontana, one of the producers of the song, Asian news service Republic reports.

BTS fans—collectively known as the Army—have welcomed the news of Jungkook's achievement with messages of congratulations and support on social media using the hashtag #GoldenEuphoria100M, which has been trending on Twitter.

The latest achievement joins a string of other feats by the award-winning K-pop boy band. Earlier this month, Love Yourself: Answer became the first K-pop album to spend a year on the Billboard 200 album chart, and back in April BTS became the first K-pop group and Asian artist overall to surpass 5 billion streams on Spotify, Billboard reported.

The group also bagged several wins at the MTV European Music Awards this month, including Best Group and Best Live Act, while the band is also nominated in several categories for the American Music Awards taking place on Sunday, including Favorite Duo or Group (Pop/Rock), Tour of the Year and Favorite Social Artist.

Earlier this month, Jungkook was reported to be under investigation after crashing his car into a taxi in the Hannam-dong neighborhood of central Seoul where he lives.

The singer was reported to be sober when he crashed into the taxi, according to the police. Jungkook admitted he violated traffic regulations in a statement released by Big Hit Entertainment, the management company of BTS.

"Immediately after the accident, Jungkook admitted he violated the traffic signals violation laws. He followed the legally required procedures at the scene and answered to police who arrived at the scene. Afterward, he reached an agreement of compromisation with the victim," according to the statement.
