Kate Middleton and Camilla have been greeting mourners and supporting the monarchy as Britain prepares to say a final goodbye to its longest reigning monarch.

Kate and Camilla Meet at a Commonwealth Reception

Kate and Camilla joined forces to greet dignitaries at a lunch time reception for the governors-general of Commonwealth Realms, countries that count the British monarch as head of state.

The princess at one stage was seen placing a sympathetic hand on the arm of Saint Lucia governor-general Cyril Errol Melchiades Charles.

Camilla and Kate also got a chance to spend some time with each other and were seen chatting in an unguarded moment, at Buckingham Palace, on September 17, 2022.

Kate Visits Commonwealth Military Taking Part in Funeral

Kate joined Prince William for a visit to Army Training Centre Pirbright where they met Commonwealth troops deployed to Britain to take part in the queen's funeral.

Soldiers from New Zealand performed the Maori Haka for the couple and they also met service personnel from Australia and Canada.

Kate gave a window into how the royals themselves have processed Elizabeth's death so close to the Platinum Jubilee, when her 70 year reign was publicly celebrated in June, 2022.

She said: "Going from that to this in a few months is very strange."

Kate Joins Prince William at Sandringham

The Princess of Wales met well-wishers at the gates to the Sandringham Estate where the queen spent her Christmas for most of her reign.

Quoted by the MailOnline, mourner Fran Morgan, 62, said: "[Kate] said she couldn't believe how many cards and flowers there were. But she also said 'I can't read them all or I would cry.'"

Camilla Braves Boos and Difficult Heels in Cardiff

Charles and Camilla were booed as their car arrived at at Llandaff Cathedral, in Cardiff, and the new Queen Consort also tripped on her heel but recovered well.

The couple were seen smiling as they met well wishers on September 16, 2022, three days before before the queen's funeral on Monday, September 19.
