Royal fans have praised the Princess of Wales for her "dancing queen" moves highlighted in a new viral video on TikTok.
In her 12 years as a member of the royal family, Kate has been spotted displaying her dance skills on a number of public occasions, including official receptions, charity visits and tours.
Unlike her predecessor as Princess of Wales, the late Princess Diana, Kate is not known to have a developed background in dance. Diana was a passionate lover of ballet, not only becoming patron of ballet companies but also regularly taking lessons. On one occasion, Diana even performed for Prince Charles' (now King Charles) birthday at the Royal Opera House in London.
Over the years, Kate's dance moments have regularly become the subject of fanmade social-media posts and videos. The most recent—uploaded by TikTok user @the_blazing_royals on November 19—features a move that has earned the nickname of the "princess shuffle."

Opening the new viral video, the clip shows Kate during a rare solo visit to Denmark in 2022, where she met with Crown Princess Mary and Queen Margrethe II at the Amalienborg palace in Copenhagen. As the three royals posed for official photos, Kate was spotted expertly repositioning herself to be more in line with her hosts, resulting in a brief shuffling motion.
Also included in the video is footage of Kate performing the 'Hokey Pokey' dance steps during a visit to Cornwall in England with Prince William in February 2023.
The princess is also seen in clips dancing with Paddington Bear at Paddington railway station in London in 2017 and taking part in a traditional Garifuna festival as part of a royal visit to Belize in 2022.
Captioned "Dancing Queen," the video has been viewed over 510,000 times on TikTok in 24 hours, gaining more than 21,000 likes and over 130 comments, many of which have praised Kate.
"Princess Kate definitely can move, such a beautiful lady," wrote one user.
"The Gold Standard!" posted another, with a further comment reading: "She is Perfect."

Kate has seen her public profile in Britain increase over the past year, since taking on the title of Princess of Wales after the accession of King Charles III to the throne in September 2022.
Kate became the first royal to use the title since Princess Diana. Following her 2005 marriage to Charles, who was made Prince of Wales by Queen Elizabeth II in 1958, Queen Camilla did not use the title out of respect for the late Diana.
In her new position, Kate has launched her most-ambitious royal project yet, the "Shaping Us" early years campaign to raise awareness of the importance that childhood has on developing a happier and healthier society.
The princess will host her third annual community Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey in London on December 8 this year, with the theme centered around childhood and early years development.
