Kate Middleton Says Prince William Worried She Wants a Fourth Child

Kate Middleton said babies make her broody and joked Prince William "always worries about me meeting under one-year-olds."

The Duchess of Cambridge made the remarks on a tour of Denmark during an event with parents and babies at the University of Copenhagen on Tuesday.

The couple have three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, their youngest, who was born in 2018.

"It makes me very broody. William always worries about me meeting under one-year-olds. I come home saying, 'Let's have another one,'" Kate said, as quoted by People.com.

The duchess sounded like she is not quite ready yet to go for child number four but if she did it would bring the couple in line with Queen Elizabeth II who has four children: Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.

William joked about Kate wanting a fourth on a visit to Lancashire in northern England in January 2022, after the duchess held a couple's baby daughter.

Kate posed for a photo with Anastasia Barrie to a chorus of "awww," The Independent reported.

William joked: "Don't give my wife any more ideas."

When Kate gave the baby back to parents Trudi and Alastair Barrie, William told his wife: "Don't take her with you."

The duchess kept her composure, just, on a visit to the LEGO Foundation PlayLab, in Copenhagen, on Tuesday, when she took a slide instead of the stairs while wearing high heels.

She told journalists: "You stood far enough away! In the spirit of where I am, I had to do it."

Kate and William's official Twitter account posted: "Here at the PlayLab, future early childhood professionals learn how to foster creative learning environments for children.

"Playful learning is seen as an essential element in how we grow and develop, as well as helping young children to understand and manage their emotions."

Kate continued her tour of Denmark on Wednesday when she visited Stenurten Forest Kindergarten in Copenhagen, to learn about mental health in young children.

Among the focuses of the Duchess's charity work are issues surrounding young children and mental health and she is a patron of the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, a child mental health research, training and treatment centre located in London.

The future king and queen may have a tricky weekend ahead as they will support opposite sides in a crucial rugby match.

William, as a future Prince of Wales, is patron of Welsh Rugby Union, but Kate recently took over Prince Harry's former role as patron of the English Rugby Football Union.

The two sides will play each other in the Six Nations on Saturday, while the two royals watch from the stands.
