Technical difficulties? Kelly Clarkson has handled much worse than that.
The Kelly Clarkson Show host, 42, was in the middle of performing in Atlantic City over the weekend when she suffered an unfortunate onstage mishap that seasoned performers known all too well: her in-ear monitors stopped working. (In-ear monitors allow the artist to hear only what the sound monitor feeds into them; like their voice and certain instruments on stage, thus ensuring they are on pitch.)
According to a fan recording of the moment, Clarkson was belting out the pre-chorus of her hit, "Since U Been Gone," when she started pressing her hand against her ear and begging into the mic for some help.

Despite the monitor drama, Clarkson pulled off the chorus — and the entire song — without a hitch, showcasing her raw talent as a live performer.
The original American Idol released her latest album, Chemistry, in June 2023 — a record that encapsulates all of the emotions she felt while divorcing ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, with whom she shares daughter River Rose, 9, and son Remington, 7.

Though the exes finalized their contentious divorce in 2022, Clarkson and Blackstock are set to face off against each other in the courtroom this August, per Us Weekly. They are headed to trial to determine if Blackstock, a talent manager, collected fees on deals he helped broker for Clarkson. (California's Talent Agencies Act prohibits anyone but the artist from taking commission on deals "procured for" by the talent.)
"We will litigate whether there was a violation of the labor code only," Judge Wendy Chang said, the outlet noted. "Any questions as to earnings and damages, all of that will come after."
