Kim Kardashian Slammed Over New Photo

People have slammed Kim Kardashian for giving paparazzi the middle finger, with many saying she has them to thank for her career.

The mother of four rose to fame on her family's reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians, where she aired out the intimate details of her personal life for more than a decade. Over the years, she has also been regularly papped by paparazzi, with people often theorizing that she and her family call the photographers themselves.

On Wednesday, however, it seemed she didn't want to be photographed when she was leaving the Epione skincare clinic after an appointment with celebrity dermatologist Simon Ourian. On her way out, Kardashian flipped the bird—and now the picture has gone viral online.

The entertainment account Pop Crave on X, formerly Twitter, reposted the picture and added the caption: "Kim Kardashian flips off paparazzi in LA." At the time of writing, the post had been viewed 1.2 million times.

Newsweek reached out to Kardashian representatives for comment via email on Thursday.

People were quick to criticize the reality star in the post's replies.

"Why is she so p***** ? Isn't this what her and her family always wanted ? & they always have photo deals with TMZ etc this is so funny," one person wrote.

"The same paparazzi that made her relevant in the celebrity industry," another person wrote.

"Then her son does same and she tries to stop him? I mean, he learnt from you mummy," said a third.

A fourth person added: "Ok sis but you did used to call them up."

Not everyone was unimpressed with Kardashian's decision to flip off the paparazzi, however, as some could understand why she did it.

"Honestly paparazzi are insane," one person said.

"Don't blame her, paparazzi can be so annoying," said another.

"How dare she....oh wait no this is valid," someone else commented.

The outing comes months after Kardashian reprimanded her oldest son, Saint West, for using the same rude hand gesture.

After leaving a basketball game in September, Saint West laughed at photographers when he gave them the finger. His mother gave him a stern look before briefly covering his face with her hand.

Then the following month, Saint West was once again photographed by paparazzi giving them the finger, this time when stepping out of a car with his mom. As soon as he made the inappropriate gesture, Kardashian smacked his hand down and told him to "stop it."

He isn't the only child who seems to be a fan of the gesture. Kardashian previously revealed her eldest child, North West, spent most of their 2021 Christmas card photo shoot "sticking out her middle finger."

"Most of the photos I saw were unusable," she said in a June 2022 episode of her family's Hulu show, The Kardashians.

The reality star is no stranger to being slammed online, as she recently copped criticism when she gave her social media followers a tour of the Christmas decorations at her home, which she described as a "true winter wonderland slice of heaven."

The mom of four started outside the home she used to share with ex-husband Kanye West, showing people at least 100 real Christmas trees she had around the property and inside the house. One corridor featured 26 Christmas trees alone.

She credited artist Jeff Leatham and event planner Mindy Weiss for helping bring her "simplistic vision" for Christmas to fruition. While the all-white trees were a sight to behold, some people slammed Kardashian for the excess.

Kardashian has four children—North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm—with rapper West. Kardashian and West first started dating in 2011 after years of friendship but after 10 years, they decided to end their romantic relationship.
