The Sacramento Kings had a perfect opportunity to troll the visiting Detroit Pistons on Wednesday, and their in-arena entertainment team jumped all over it.
Unfortunately for the Kings, the trolling didn't end well.
As the Pistons were introduced for the starting lineup, the Kings' jumbotron played a loop of San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk making a crucial diving catch during the NFC Championship Game, which the 49ers won narrowly over the Detroit Lions. Underneath the highlights, the arena used the piano line from the introduction of Detroit-native Eminem's hit "Lose Yourself."

Then the 29-21 Kings lost to the 7-43 Pistons 133-120.
The Pistons are in the middle of a nightmarish season, which includes the longest losing streak in any NBA team's history—28 games, spanning October 28 to December 30, when they finally defeated the Toronto Raptors.
Entering Wednesday's game, the Pistons had won two of their last six games, which was a comparatively hot streak, but they were without former No. 1 pick Cade Cunningham, who is the team's leader in both points and assists per game.

Still, the Pistons got a huge performance from second-year guard Jaden Ivey, who poured in 37 points to go with six rebounds and seven assists. Ivey exploded down the stretch, scoring 19 in the fourth quarter on 6-for-6 shooting and outscoring the Kings 36-21 in the final 12 minutes.
"We're not doing our job," Kings coach Mike Brown told reporters. "We didn't do our job tonight, for sure."
Perhaps notably, Ivey's grandfather James Hunter played for the Lions from 1976-82. Before he was drafted in 2022, Ivey called out the Pistons specifically as a place he would like to go.
"Detroit, my mom [Notre Dame head women's basketball coach Niele Ivey] played for the Detroit Shock in the WNBA," Ivey told The Spun. "I've lived in the area and I know what it's like. Detroit [which picks fifth overall] could be an option."
Ivey was not asked about the video postgame, but he did praise the Pistons for contributing across the board.
"Just a great game overall," Ivey told reporters. "I feel like everybody used their gifts to the best of their abilities and gave it all that they had with some guys out. I'm so proud of them."
The Pistons have the worst record in the NBA. The Kings are seventh in the Western Conference standings, leading the eighth-place Dallas Mavericks by 1.5 games.
Brandon Aiyuk and the 49ers take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl on Sunday, which kicks off at 6:30 p.m.
