What Will Happen in 'Law & Order: Organized Crime' Season 2?

Law & Order: Organized Crime follows Stabler, a former Manhattan Special Victims Unit detective who joined the New York Organized Crime Control Bureau to find his wife's killers.

In Season 1, Stabler was tasked with taking down crime boss Richard Wheatley (McDermott), whom Stabler suspected of being behind his wife's murder.

In the new series, Stabler and his team will be infiltrating an Albanian drug network.

The season will kick off as part of a crossover event with Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, where Stabler and Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) will be reunited.

Speaking to NBC about the crossover, Meloni said: "It just seems natural to me, like gin and tonic."

Hargitay added: "I am so excited for Law & Order Thursday. We've been waiting for so long for Stabler and Benson to reunite."

Speaking to TV Line, creator Dick Wolf said the new season of Organized Crime would be broken up into three eight-episode arcs.

He said: "The first third of the season is The Godfather. The second third is American Gangster. And the last third is Scarface."

"These villains are going to be really bad guys that give [Stabler] a constant source of energy, outrage, belief in justice, and a different way of pursuing criminals than we've had before."
