Andy Cohen has revealed that he likes the idea of Lindsay Lohan joining the cast of his newly announced reality show, Real Housewives of Dubai.

It was this week announced that the hugely successful franchise would be heading to the United Arab Emirates. And while a cast is yet to be announced, questions have arisen about whether Lohan, who is based in Dubai, will be a part of it.

And during an appearance on The Talk on Wednesday, Cohen—who serves as executive producer of Bravo's Real Housewives franchise—appeared to like the idea of the actress making a return to screens via his upcoming show.

The Talk co-host Jerry O'Connell said to Cohen, per Entertainment Tonight: "Lindsay Lohan lives in Dubai, a Real Housewife potential, maybe Andy?"

Watch What Happens Live presenter Cohen responded: "Let me tell you something. It's a good idea, Jerry."

Elsewhere in his interview, Cohen shared his excitement about the upcoming show, which joins the 11 editions across the U.S. and 15 international series. Real Housewives of Dubai will be the first international version for Bravo.

"It's a billionaire's playground," Cohen said of Dubai. "They're a group of friends. It's great. We haven't announced the cast yet. But we're really excited about them. You gotta watch what happens. I'm very excited though, because as you say, it is like Vegas on steroids and the wealth there, I think, makes it something that people are going to be very curious about from the get-go."

In announcing the show at the start of the week, Cohen said: "Everything's bigger in Dubai, and I couldn't be more excited to launch Bravo's first international Housewives series in a city I've been fascinated by for years, with an outstanding group of friends as our guides."

If Lohan were to be cast in Real Housewives of Dubai, it would mark something of a comeback for the screen star, who has laid relatively low over the past decade.

In May, it was announced that the New York native had been cast in a Christmas-themed romantic comedy on streaming giant Netflix.

Variety reported at that the time that she will play a "newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress [who] finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter" after a skiing accident leaves her with amnesia.

At the time of the announcement, it was revealed that the film would be released over the Christmas holiday in 2022.

During an appearance on the CNN New Year's Eve Live broadcast in 2019, the actress told Anderson Cooper and his co-host Cohen that she wanted to "come back to America and start filming again."

When asked what her resolutions were for 2020, the star said: "Just taking back the life that I worked so hard for, and sharing it with my family and you guys."

Lohan, who is most famed for her hit aughts comedies Mean Girls and Freaky Friday, has had a varied career over the past decade, after her conviction for driving offences and time in rehab for substance abuse issues saw her career falter.

While living in London, she appeared in a West End stage production of David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow in 2014. In 2018, she had a role in British TV comedy Sick Note, which featured Harry Potter star Rupert Grint.

She dipped her toe in the reality TV pool with MTV show Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club, which aired in 2019. Lohan also took on judge duties on the Australian version of The Masked Singer that same year.
