Lizzo has been on the receiving end of "fatphobic" comments from beleaguered rapper Kanye West in recent days, but the singer seems to be pushing back with her choice of Halloween costume.

On Monday, Lizzo posted several photos of herself impersonating Miss Piggy from The Muppet Show.

"Notorious P.I.G," she tweeted on Monday afternoon alongside photos of her dressed as the Muppet—complete with platinum blond hair, blue contacts and a fake hog nose.

West had dragged Lizzo during an interview with Fox News' Tucker Carlson that aired on October 6.

"Lizzo works with my trainer, a friend of mine, Harley Pasternak," the hip-hop star said at the time. "When Lizzo loses 10 pounds and announces it, the bots [...] on Instagram, they attack her for losing weight, because the media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal, when it's actually unhealthy."

Many fat acceptance advocates recoiled at the comments from West, who has legally changed his name to Ye. Some social media users, however, seemed to take cues from the rapper and are similarly shaming the Primetime Emmy and three-time Grammy Award winner over her weight.

Lizzo's Miss Piggy posts on Monday have received considerable support.

Twitter user @Tay30112477 wrote, "Lizzo you killing it with the costumes one after the other yes baby!" along with several emojis, including a heart and a flame.

"Miss Piggy was THAT GIRL!" tweeted user @Jamila_Dawson. "My first media example that you can be fat, loved/loving, able to defend yourself, about your career, love luxury and be absolutely GORGEOUS. Brilliant job!"

Lizzo also posted a tweet about how Miss Piggy was her "forever icon," adding that the Muppet is the "epitome of grace, style, confidence and a warrior for love."

However, some trolls have further poked fun at the accomplished musician's costume choice.

"Aren't you supposed to dress up for Halloween?" wrote user @Neurosys1 to one of her Muppet tweets.

In another Miss Piggy post captioned "FAT ICON," Lizzo holds what appears to be a glass of red wine while looking into the camera.

"Wine for moi? Merci!" she says, laughing in a Miss Piggy voice as someone pretends to pour more vino.

The fun video was apparently too much for some trolls to bear.

"'Fat icon' = fat chick that's too lazy to walk to the bathroom so imma demand attention cuz [I know] imma die from obesity," wrote Twitter user @wokeness4jews.

Miss Piggy wasn't the only fictional character that Lizzo emulated this Halloween. Days before, the star also posted pictures of herself mirroring Marge from The Simpsons, complete with a green dress and sky-high blue hair.

Newsweek reached out to a representative for Lizzo for comment.
