Lili Reinhart has swapped the mysteries of Riverdale for not one, but two other lives in Netflix's Look Both Ways.

The rom-com movie follows the story of Reinhart's Natalie, who on the night of her college graduation decides to hook up with her close friend Gabe (palyed by Danny Ramirez).

Then weeks later she fears she may be pregnant, and the outcome of the test will change the entire course of her life.

Before Natalie and the audience find out the result of the test, Natalie's life splits into two entirely different universes.

In one life, Natalie and Gabe co-parent and raise their daughter Rosie and in the other, Natalie moves to L.A. to pursue her career as an artist and falls in love with hot-shot artist Jake (David Corenswet).

Will there be a Look Both Ways sequel?

Will There Be A Look Both Ways 2?

At the moment, the future of Look Both Ways 2 is uncertain.

However, a follow-up film or a prequel is looking unlikely, considering the movie has a happy ending and reaches a conclusion, leaving no indication of (or probable need for) a follow-up.

Additionally, the cast and crew of Look Both Ways have not publicly spoken out about their visions for Look Both Ways 2, suggesting the story of Natalie has come to its natural and rightful end.

Newsweek has contacted Netflix for comment.

What Happened At The End of Look Both Ways?

At the end of Look Both Ways, Natalie surprisingly did not have to choose between her two parallel realities, nor did her world implode or have to go through some sort of mission to get her timelines to line up with the present.

Instead, Natalie was able to live in both realities and truly find happiness, the only thing she ever wanted.

In one timeline, Natalie's pregnancy test is positive and she returns home to her hometown of Austin to raise her child with Gabe, Natalie's close friend who is the unexpected father of her child.

In the other world, Natalie moves to L.A. to pursue her career in animation with her best friend Cara (Aisha Dee). There, she meets Jake who turns her world upside down.

In the timeline with Gabe, together they raise their daughter and have a happy little family. Unfortunately, despite being clearly meant for one another, they never seem to be on the same page with their feelings and things slowly begin to fall apart.

Gabe even proposes to his girlfriend Miranda (Amanda Knapic), breaking Natalie's heart and sending her on a downward spiral.

However, when Natalie is asked to be on the panel for successful animators at the South by Southwest Film Festival she and Gabe cross paths and Natalie learns he and Miranda are no longer together. Ultimately, Gabe and Natalie decide to give a romantic relationship a shot, and both get the 'happy ever after' they deserve.

In a surprise twist, Natalie's timeline with Jake also becomes a reality.

Despite failing to make their long-distance relationship work, the pair finally reunite when her animated short film is selected for the competition at the South by Southwest Film Festival.

Jake risks his job to be there and sees Natalie succeed and together, they both decide to give their relationship another shot.

Ultimately, in both timelines, things turn out great for Natalie, she falls in love and gets the career she has always dreamed of. It's a win-win and a happy ending.

The movie ends with Natalie returning to her sorority with Gabe and Jake, from their respective realities waiting outside for her.

Natalie then looks in the mirror and reassures herself everything is going to be ok, while a version of Natalie can be seen in the background, waiting on her pregnancy result.

If a sequel was to take place, there are a few avenues the movie could go down. For example, Look Both Ways could continue to follow the setup of the first film and continue to follow Natalie in her two parallel universes.

On the other hand, Look Both Ways 2 could delve deep into the lives of Natalie's friend or eventually see her make a decision on which universe she will live in.

Another avenue to take is a potential third reality of Natalie's life which is totally different from the two avenues audiences have seen so far.

Look Both Ways is streaming on Netflix now.
