The winning numbers for the Mega Millions lottery game for February 28, offering a jackpot prize of $60 million with a cash value option of $44.9 million, were revealed on Friday at 11 p.m. ET.

How to play Mega Millions

Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at 11:00 pm ET. Five white balls are drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 70, while one yellow Mega Ball is drawn from a balls numbered 1 through 25. You win if the numbers on your lottery ticket match the numbers of the balls drawn on that date.

There are nine ways to win a prize, valued from $2 to the jackpot. If no one wins the jackpot, the money is added to the top prize for the following drawing. The chances of winning a prize are 1 in 24, the Mega Millions website states.
