Many dogs are protective, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a better guard dog than the adorable pet in this viral video.
In footage posted to TikTok by Ponaflex on August 14, we can see that a man's American pit bull terrier likes to sit outside the shower while his owner washes himself.
The video, which can be watched here, begins by focusing in on a pair of fogged-up glass shower doors, which are then opened to show the pet sat on the shower mat staring out down the corridor.
Text overlaying the clip then reads: "He's making sure nobody bothers me while I shower."
Ponaflex captioned the adorable video with a crown emoji, as well as the hashtags: "#PerfectMarcJacobs #dog #dogs #pitbull #pitbullsoftiktok #guarddog #fypシ."

Recently, another dog went viral on TikTok, but this time not due to its loving behavior, but instead because the pet was thrown out of daycare for lying other dogs' backs.
The video, shared by Stephmalak, begins with a close up of an innocent-looking dog, and overlaid text that reads: "When you get kicked out of daycare for laying on the other dogs."
The camera then cuts to a montage of photographs showing the husky in action on the back of other dogs, or caught trying to clamber on.
The hilarious footage is captioned: "It's called dominance #husky #fyp."
Since being posted on August 5, the video has racked up a whopping 17 million views and 4.8 million likes.
Additionally, a clip of a pit bull who has learned how to ring the front doorbell has also been cheering up many people online, and can be watched here.
