A video surfaced this weekend of new LSU football coach Brian Kelly dancing with a highly-touted recruit to the tune of a popular country song about Baton Rouge. Kelly's moves have been called cool, creepy, hip, and strange.

Folks on the internet can't stop watching Kelly and five-star quarterback recruit Walker Howard dancing to the tune of Garth Brook's oldie "Callin' Baton Rouge."

The video was posted over the weekend. By Monday night, it had received more than 3.5 million views. That number should keep climbing.

Howard, a senior at St. Thomas More in nearby Lafayette, posted the video with the verbiage, "Got my coach!!"

Howard has size and pedigree for the Tigers. The son of former LSU quarterback Jamie Howard, Walker committed to LSU while Ed Orgeron was still the head coach there. Things got murky for the Lafayette recruit after LSU announced that Orgeron would not come back after the 2021 season.

Howard, who is listed at 6-foot-1 and 195, was the No. 4-ranked quarterback in the nation and No. 2 in Louisiana when he committed to LSU, according to 247Sports.

As for the viral video, Kelly is shown dancing back-to-back with Howard on a platform that rotated in a 360-degree circle. Howard effortlessly tossed a football in the air to himself as the two danced to the tune of Garth Brooks' "Callin' Baton Rouge," which is a popular song played at Tiger Stadium on Saturdays to pump up the crowd.

For Kelly, this must be light years away from the Golden Dome and stories of Rudy he left behind at Notre Dame.

LSU recently hired Kelly away from Notre Dame, which was just on the outside of this year's College Football Playoff final four, which is the pairing list to whittle away the national champion.

LSU won the title two years ago with a 15-0 record and arguably one of the best teams ever assembled in college football history. Th 2019 Tigers beat seven teams ranked in the top 10 when they played them at the time, which included Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Oklahoma, Florida, Auburn and Texas.

The Tigers lost a slew of weapons from that offense, including Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Joe Burrow, wide receivers Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase and running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Then, during a pandemic year, LSU had a 5-5 season while embroiled in off-field problems.

LSU has gone 11-11 since that 2019 season, but school officials felt it was time to make a change at the helm.

LSU lost 2020 starting quarterback Myles Brennan to an injury. He was replaced by T.J. Finley, who had a less than stellar performance and was eventually replaced by Max Johnson. Finley transferred to Auburn before the 2021 season, and Johnson started the 2021 season. Now, Johnson has entered the transfer portal.

Kelly might now have the quarterback of his future in Baton Rouge, if the calling card was right.

Not sure about Kelly's dance, though!
