Pre-Ordered 'Madden 21'? You Can Play Three Days Early Starting Today

It's August and that means it's "Madden Season" for gamers all around the world.

Madden fans may have seen gamers already playing Madden 21, the latest installment of the annual football simulator, or are seeing the official social media accounts talk about "launch day."

While, technically, Madden 21 is set to release for PS4, Xbox One and PC this Friday, some players are getting a three-day head start.

Like in past years, EA Sports is allowing players to hit the field early by pre-ordering the Deluxe or MVP editions of the game.

While gamers who use EA Play, a monthly subscription service, were able to play Madden 21 for a few hours over this past weekend, anyone who pre-ordered the Deluxe or MVP editions of this year's football game will be able to play with no restrictions.

However, you can only access Madden 21 early if you pre-ordered. While the pre-order buttons on the official Madden site, as well as the PSN and Microsoft Stores, are still there, that won't guarantee you access to the game early or the in-game bonuses that come with reserving a copy for yourself.

Purchasing any of the Madden 21 versions today will lock you from playing until the official release on August 28. The timing of when the game unlocks on Friday is unclear, but judging from past releases, fans can expect it to be available to play starting at 12:01 a.m. EDT.

So think of this as a reminder if you pre-ordered the game weeks or months ago. You can start playing the new "Yard" mode or dive into Franchise mode or Madden Ultimate Team (MUT), the choice is yours.
