Madonna's son, David Banda, is continuing to show that he may well follow in his mother's footsteps, in a new video upload on the star's Instagram account.

Pop icon Madonna, 62, took to the image-sharing app on Sunday to post a clip of 15-year-old David tunefully belting out John Denver's 1971 country classic "Take Me Home, Country Roads."

Sporting a smart ensemble, the teen was shown strumming a guitar as he sat beside a friend, who tapped his feet in time to the acapella performance.

Mother of six Madonna shared the video with her more than 16 million Instagram followers, adding the caption: "Sunday Serenade............🎸🌅. #countryroads #davidbanda."

The post, which garnered almost 300,000 likes within hours of being shared received an outpouring of praise from a number of the star's followers.

David's musical moment wasn't just a one-off, as Madonna posted a clip of the budding performer channeling late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury as he sang along to the band's enduring hit "Another One Bites the Dust" in June.

Adding to the authenticity of his performance, the teen emulated the legendary musician by throwing on a jeweled armband, a bracelet and a wig.

David was shown dancing his way around the family living room, where pictures of Madonna and her children could be seen in the background.

Malawi-born David has been showcasing his dancing and performance skills on his mother's social media accounts on numerous occasions in recent years.

In May, Madonna shared video footage of David modeling a white silk Mae Couture dress as he strolled around the house.

While David was shown saying that he found the experience "freeing," Madonna gushed in her caption that "confidence is everything."

Michigan-born Madonna adopted David from Malawi in south-eastern Africa in 2006 when he was 13 months old.

The singer previously admitted that she has the most in common with David out of all of her children, telling British Vogue in 2019: "What he has more than anything is focus and determination. I'm pretty sure he got it from me."

She continued: "I feel like he gets me; he has more of my DNA than any of my children so far. Let's see what happens—it's still early days for everyone."

Madonna is also mother to daughter Lourdes Leon, 24, from her relationship with Carlos Leon, and to son Rocco Ritchie, who turns 21 on August 11 and is from her marriage to filmmaker Guy Ritchie.

The star's other children were also adopted from Malawi—daughter Mercy James, 15, and twins Stella and Estere, eight.
