Several MAGA supporters raged against U.S. President Joe Biden's announcement that he was sending humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip amid fighting between Israel and Hamas militants.

"Biden just announced he's going to be giving $100 million to the "Gaza Strip" aka Hamas," Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote on X, formerly Twitter. "The same amount of money Iran gives Hamas every single year. There is now no difference between Joe Biden and the Ayatollah of Iran."

Karoline Leavitt, a spokesperson for the MAGA War Room said: "Biden announces $100 MILLION of your tax dollars will go to "aid" in Gaza. He warns Hamas, who are hellbent on stealing, raping, murdering, and torturing innocent people, not to take the funds. Pathetic. Another weak move that will cause more bloodshed."

Biden announced on Wednesday that the White House was providing $100 million in humanitarian assistance for the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank.

"This funding will help support over a million displaced and conflict-affected people with clean water, food, hygiene support, medical care, and other essential needs," Biden said in a statement.

"Civilians are not to blame and should not suffer for Hamas's horrific terrorism. Civilian lives must be protected and assistance must urgently reach those in need. We will continue to work closely with partners in the region to stress the importance of upholding the law of war, supporting those who are trying to get to safety or provide assistance, and facilitating access to food, water, medical care, and shelter."

On October 7, Hamas militants launched a surprise attack in parts of Israel, which since has carried out a number of airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. According to the Associated Press, more than 3,500 people in Gaza have died amid the fighting as of Wednesday, citing the Gaza Health Ministry. In Israel, more than 1,300 people have lost their lives, AP reported.

Florida Republican Senator Rick Scott also criticized Biden, saying, "Not a single dollar of U.S. aid should go to Hamas-controlled Gaza until all hostages, including AMERICANS, are safely released. I'll be on the Senate floor later to pass my Stop Taxpayer Funding of Hamas Act to guarantee that."

Similarly, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, like Trump a 2024 Republican presidential candidate, responded to Biden's announcement, saying, "Aid to the Gaza Strip is what Biden is prioritizing today. This aid will of course be commandeered by Hamas."

"No taxpayer dollars should be sent to Gaza. Stop funding jihad!" DeSantis added.
