A 33-year-old man was arrested in connection to a parking lot assault outside of SoFi Stadium that left 49ers fan Daniel Luna in a coma.
Bryan Alexis Cifuentes Rossell was arrested Thursday by Inglewood police on a charge of felony assault, Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts said in a press conference Friday. Butts said the suspect bonded out Friday morning at 1 a.m local time on $30,000 bail.
Luna, 40, was assaulted during the NFC championship game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Times. He was discovered bleeding in the parking lot by a security guard around half an hour into the game. Luna has since been hospitalized and put into a medically induced coma.
Police used security footage to trace a vehicle registered to the suspect, leaving contact information at his residence, Butts said.
The suspect later told police he would meet them at his workplace in Montebello, the mayor continued. The suspect then "voluntarily accompanied" police to the Inglewood Police Department, where he was interviewed and subsequently booked at Inglewood Jail.

Footage shows Luna in the parking lot with others, appearing to wear a white jersey "that some think was a throwback 49ers jersey," Butts said. Another man was wearing a yellow jersey that is believed to be a Rams jersey.
Luna appeared to push the man in the yellow jersey, who pushed back and struck Luna near the area of his mouth, the press conference continued. Luna fell to the ground, appearing to hit his head, and didn't move after.
There didn't appear to be any precursor to the altercation in the footage, according to Butts.
"It looked like a small altercation that went very bad," the mayor said. "From one punch and someone falling, hitting their head on the ground. It wasn't like you had people ganging up on somebody and beating them."
Luna suffered a face fracture and was placed in the medically induced coma to prevent internal bleeding from swelling in his brain, Butts said. His condition has neither improved or degraded at this time.
There's no need to worry about security at the stadium, according to the mayor. "I don't think this has any implication for safety," said Butts.
The Super Bowl will be held at SoFi stadium between the Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals on February 13, CBS Sports reported.
