A man is alleged to have shot his wife dead in front of their crying daughter, according to Florida police.
Oscar Edmundo Marin Martinez, 42, allegedly shot his wife seven times in the head and neck while they were sitting in the front seats of a pickup truck in a parking lot at 12490 Southwest 5th Street, just before midnight on Saturday.
The shooting occurred as their 5-year-old daughter sat crying in the back seat, per a Davie police report obtained by NBC 6.

According to the Gun Violence Archive, a database that collects information about shootings from across the U.S., 40 people have been fatally shot in Florida since October 1 this year.
The database also found that of those victims, seven were women.
NBC 6 said the police report stated the 911 caller told the operator in Spanish that his wife "wanted to stab him and he didn't allow her, she is dead and his wife is located in his car, which is a black Chevrolet [Silverado 2500]."
When police arrived, they found the daughter crying in the back seat before officers located a silver pistol on the floorboard between the front seats.
Officers also found Martinez's wife was holding a knife.
Martinez reportedly lived with his twin brother about 50 yards from where the shooting took place.
Vinicio Marin Martinez told officers that his brother had waved him over to the truck and said he had killed his wife, according to the report. He urged his brother to take the young girl into the house, park the truck and to call the police.
While being questioned by police, Martinez claimed he had argued with his wife and shot her as she kept on poking him with a knife and he felt threatened.
Martinez was arrested on Sunday and charged with murder, he is now being held at the Broward County Jail according to NBC 6.

Enrique Toledo, 53, is alleged to have shot and killed his wife, who was not named by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, on July 3.
The shooting happened in Toledo's home on the 2600 block of Freeland Drive in Valrico.
