Many on the right are praising Elon Musk's Twitter takeover, but few are cheering as loudly as Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia.
Musk had endured a months-long legal skirmish with the social media company's top brass, but on Thursday, the $44 billion deal finally went through.
Conservatives have largely applauded the buy from Musk, who's vowed to safeguard free speech on the platform. However, the Tesla CEO has also met critics on the left who say that the acquisition would degenerate Twitter into an "arena of hate."
Some right-wing members who could potentially see their Twitter accounts reinstated include InfoWars conspiracy king Alex Jones and Greene, whose personal account had been permanently suspended for violating the social media platform's COVID-19 misinformation policy.

The conservative politician, from her official congressional account, celebrated the news in a series of tweets.
"FREEDOM OF SPEECH!!!!" Greene wrote on Thursday night.
FREEDOM OF SPEECH!!!!

She applied a more subdued tone in a tweet one minute later.
"Just wait until tomorrow," she wrote.
Then on Friday morning, the congresswoman again appeared to celebrate the Twitter change-up.
"We are winning," she tweeted.

Some have speculated that former President Donald Trump will also appear on Twitter once more. After the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot, he was permanently banned over fears that his tweets would incite more violence.
Musk has received even more support coming from Congress' right-wing. Representative Dan Crenshaw of Texas offered up a virtual high-five in a Thursday night tweet, complimenting the billionaire for having terminated several of the site's top executives.
In addition to Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, Musk fired Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal and head of legal policy, trust and safety Vijaya Gadde. He'll now have to cough up more than $204 million to the trio, MarketWatch reported, citing the site's filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
"RT if you're going to start using Twitter more now that @elonmusk just took over, walked into HQ like a boss, and fired the CEO," Crenshaw tweeted.

Representative Jim Jordan of Ohio also tweeted out a pro-Musk post on Friday morning, writing, "Free speech. Liberal tears."

Matt Walsh, a columnist for the right-wing news site The Daily Wire, took to Twitter on Friday morning to criticize liberals who are fretting about the deal.
"The Left isn't worried that they'll be banned or targeted," he wrote. "They know that isn't going to happen and nobody is calling for it. They are simply worried that other viewpoints will be heard. They know they cannot compete in a free and open ideological marketplace."

Meanwhile, conservative political commentator Liz Wheeler also lauded the SpaceX CEO ahead of the historic buy.
"Elon Musk's new Twitter bio reads, 'Chief Twit,'" she tweeted earlier this week. "Let's goooooooo free speech."
