Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Georgia Republican, touted a new report on Saturday about President Joe Biden in an effort to push an impeachment call against him.

Greene, the outspoken MAGA-aligned congresswoman, has been pushing for impeachment proceedings against Biden since before he was even inaugurated and before she was sworn into office in January 2021.

On Biden's first full day as president on January 21, 2021, Greene filed articles of impeachment against him, alleging improper involvement with his son Hunter Biden's foreign business dealings, which has been widely contested as there is no evidence of any wrongdoing.

On Saturday, Politico reported many of Biden's closest staffers and advisers have doubled as his relatives' business associates during and after their time working for him. Citing House impeachment inquiry interviews, public records and emails reviewed by Politico, Biden had shared a number of staffers and advisers with his relatives including a bookkeeper with his son Hunter and a personal lawyer with his brother Jim.

However, it's unclear whether Biden's current or former staffers are presently involved in his relatives' business affairs.

Responding to the report, Greene took to X, formerly Twitter, to share her thoughts as she continued to call for the president's impeachment.

"This is exactly why I filed articles of impeachment on Joe Biden on his first full day in office. He has abused his position of power to personally enrich himself and his family for years. There is no bigger scandal in American politics. Joe Biden must be IMPEACHED, convicted in the Senate, and removed from office. Then he must be prosecuted for his crimes and thrown in prison," she wrote on Saturday.

Newsweek has reached out to Greene's office and the White House via email for comment.

In December, the House of Representatives voted to launch an impeachment inquiry into Biden in a 221-212 vote, with members voting along party lines. Republicans allege that while serving as vice president under President Barack Obama, Biden used his influence to improperly support the business activities of his son Hunter Biden from which they suggest he gained financially. The president has said he had no involvement with his son's business dealings, and the White House has called the GOP's impeachment effort "sad, pathetic, and a waste of everyone's time."

Meanwhile, this comes as Biden and former President Donald Trump are the presumptive Democratic and Republican presidential nominees respectively following a series of primary wins and are headed for a 2020 election rematch in November. Their first debate is set for June 27, with a second one in September.
