Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Wedding in Pictures As They Celebrate Second Anniversary With 'Quiet' Family Day

Here are some of the best pictures from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's fairytale wedding in 2018, as friends say they will mark their second anniversary with a "quiet day as a family."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will relive their touching Windsor Castle ceremony while isolated at Tyler Perry's $18 million Los Angeles mansion.

The couple are not expected to release anything new for their fans, choosing instead to focus on time alone with baby Archie, one.

A friend of the couple said: "They will be spending a quiet day as a family."

However, two years ago today, Meghan and Harry married in front of a TV audience of 29.2 million Americans as royal fans filled the streets of Windsor.

Meghan began the day at Cliveden House hotel as crowds gathered in the streets hoping to catch a glimpse of the bride and groom.

Celebrity guests including Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney, Elton John and Idris Elba were arriving to fill the pews at St George's Chapel.

The groom arrived with brother Prince William, passing by lucky supporters drawn from their charities and given prime spots within castle walls.

And then the bride arrived a little after midday by Rolls-Royce car in a spectacular Givenchy dress with a 16ft organza veil and train, accompanied by mother Doria Ragland.

The train was hand-stitched with flowers representing the 53 countries that make up the Commonwealth.

And on her head, Meghan wore Queen Mary's diamond bandeau tiara loaned by Queen Elizabeth II and previously worn by Princess Margaret in 1965.

Designer Clare Waight Keller told the story behind Meghan's gown in an Instagram post last month.

She said: "In so many ways you are capturing dreams, that as a girl and as you become a woman you will have been thinking about for years.

"Learning to let go of my emotions and embrace the feelings of someone you are designing for brings about an incredibly beautiful relationship of trust and intimacy.

"Through hours of conversation, meetings together, and research, slowly all the pieces of that story came together.

"Purity and simplicity were the guiding principles, a narrative of nature through the 53 florals of the Commonwealth to bring the world into the journey of the ceremony and subtlety bringing the lines of Givenchy and the history of the Maison to capture the classical timeless beauty I knew she wanted to achieve."

Prince Charles walked Meghan down the aisle, where she finally met her groom and now husband Prince Harry.

The duke told his now wife: "You look amazing."

After exchanging rings, Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby pronounced the couple husband and wife to cheers from thousands of fans in Windsor and millions around the world.

As husband and wife, they stepped out of the chapel, where they were pictured on the steps before stepping into the Ascot Landau horse-drawn carriage for a procession.

Meghan and Harry then drove to the evening reception at Frogmore House, on the queen's estate in Windsor, in an E-type Jaguar with the registration E190518, marking the day's date.
