Liquor stores: These stores are normally open on Memorial Day, however, check your state laws to see if you can buy alcohol during the federal holiday as some do not allow it.

Pharmacies: Many operate restricted opening hours, with CVS advising that people call customer service to confirm whether their local branch is opening. Walgreens will remain open.

Albertsons: Will be opening normal hours on Memorial Day.

Costco: The store closes most holidays including Memorial Day.

Aldi: Running with limited opening hours, so check ahead to confirm opening and closing times.

Kmart: Will be open for its Memorial Day sale.
