A mother has shared her creative hack for cutting her daughter's bangs, but not everybody online is impressed.
In a video posted to TikTok by Handsonfamily, who has 820,000 followers, we can see a little girl wearing a grey dress standing in a bathroom with sellotape across the front of her outgrown hair.
The mom then uses scissors to cut through the mid-point of the horizontally-placed sellotape.
She then peels off the tape that has been cut away, before removing the plastic still stuck to the bangs to reveal a neatly cut fringe.
Text overlaying the video reads: "Cutting kids bangs the best hack. What do you think?"
Handsonfamily captioned the post, which can be watched here, writing: "How to cut the perfect bangs! #MakingTheCut #GRWM #momhack #BackToSchool #GirlMom."
The method has gained lots of traction online since being shared to the app on August 3, having already been viewed by a whopping 21.4 million people and surpassed 994,000 likes.

Many people rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts on the hack, with some appearing to be less than enthused.
One TikTok user, JuiceboxJake, wrote: "If you press and rip the tape off a little faster you can do her eyebrows at the same time."
Another person, hmkurtz, added: "I think you got lucky please don't do that again bahahahaha."
Marita typed: "Let's pretend it's not crooked."
Paige Closson explained: "The tape literally does nothing."
Super Peachy Jasmine stated: "This was a bad idea don't use scissors around the eyes like that."
Lil G commented: "It's all fun and games until you lose some eyelashes."
Jaylyn admitted: "As a hairstylist... I'm screaming on the inside."
However, others were less critical, with Iris writing: "I think giving kids bangs is a sin. But these ok."
Donnie Marie gushed: "Oh my God I wish I knew about this when my kids were young. This is great! And so cute."
KirkTrux revealed: "I'm using this technique on my husbands hair."
Recently another mom shared a clever hack on TikTok to stop her children from telling lies.
In a clip shared to the app on July 9, a mother with the account name of mombarrassed5 explained: "I told my children that when they lie, a star appears on their forehead that only a grown-up can see.
"So anytime they are lying to me, they cover their forehead."
The video has so far been viewed a whopping 27.3 million times and attracted more than 5.1 million likes.
