Here is everything you need to know about the rapper and why his house was reportedly raided.
Who Is NBA YoungBoy?
NBA YoungBoy, or YoungBoy Never Broke Again, is a rapper whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden and he has been releasing music since 2015.
In an interview with XXL Mag, the rapper said he began writing music at the age of 7, saying: "I wrote my first song in the first or second grade. I was on and off from there."
The 22-year-old has released six independent mixtapes between 2015 and 2017. He was signed to Atlantic Records in late 2017.
He has had considerable success with songs such as "On My Side" or "What That Speed Bout!?" with Mike WiLL Made-It and Nicki Minaj. His 2019 album AI YoungBoy 2 debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200.
After 2Pac and Lil Wayne, NBA YoungBoy became the third rapper to release a chart-topping album while incarcerated following the launch of his third studio album Sincerely, Kentrell in September 2021.
He had been arrested in California in March 2021 after he allegedly fled from police. He was taken into FBI custody on a previous federal firearm warrant out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
On October 26, 2021, Rolling Stone reported the rapper was released from jail in Louisiana on bail, in order to await trial under house arrest in his Utah home.

Why Was NBA YoungBoy's House Raided?
A SWAT raid was conducted on a house the rapper owns on Tuesday, January 25, Senior Deputy Thomas Gilliland, a spokesperson for Harris County Sheriff's Office, confirmed to Newsweek.
Three men, Carleon Gallien, Roymello Williams, and Daryl Brown were arrested in relation to a shooting in November 2021.
The incident in November saw a man get shot multiple times which resulted in "permanent and life altering injuries," according to Gilliland. The three men are alleged to have committed the attack.
Senior Deputy Gilliland told Newsweek: "Investigators were called to the 700 block of Barren Springs after a male complainant was shot multiple times by the three. Leads were developed and the evidence was collected."
The Harris County District Attorney's Office has charged Gallien with two counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, Williams with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, and Brown with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.
TMZ reported that multiple weapons were also seized at the property, including AR-15s, pistols and long guns.
The publication reported that neither NBA YoungBoy nor his mother were arrested at the scene, but the men who were arrested were said to be associates of the rapper by police.
