Welcome back! Here are some highlights from the past week.

My most recent column focused on the emerging divide between President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the question of what happens in Gaza the day after Israel deems Hamas to be eradicated. The Biden administration's policy, as outlined by both Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, is predicated upon the assumption that the Hamas Holocaust of Oct. 7, 2023, was not a game-changing, paradigm-shifting event—the kind of event that causes one to revisit a situation's underlying premises and fundamentally reassess a situation from the ground up. But the Oct. 7 pogrom was precisely that sort of event—and as such, it should mark the final death knell for a U.S-backed "two-state solution" (an idea that frankly should have died after the arch-terrorist Yasser Arafat's Second Intifada of 2000–2005) centered around Israeli territorial concessions to create an independent "Palestinian state" in Gaza and Judea and Samaria (i.e., the "West Bank"). It is more plausible that the tooth fairy exists than the "two-state solution," as conceived by Democratic presidents like Biden and Barack Obama before him, ever becomes reality. The Biden administration, accordingly, desperately needs a reality check.

In terms of public speaking appearances, I am in St. Louis right now for a couple of Federalist Society talks on constitutional law. I also have a big Young America's Foundation event at the University of Michigan tomorrow evening on the Israel-Hamas war and the West's broader fight against the global jihad—stay tuned to hear how that goes!
