While NFL teams are still vying to capture the Lombardi Trophy this postseason, a selection of the league's top players and coaches are up for some individual hardware to recognize their regular-season performances.

Finalists for the Associated Press' eight NFL awards were revealed on Thursday. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, the Most Valuable Player favorite and 2019 winner, is one of five players still in contention for that honor. The first-team All-Pro QB is joined by Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and a San Francisco 49ers duo of Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey as MVP finalists.

Here's a look at the finalists in each category, plus everything else to know ahead of the NFL Honors.

How Does NFL Award Voting Work?

This year's awards finalists were determined by a nationwide panel of 50 media members who cover the NFL regularly.

Voting was completed before the playoffs began. This was the second year of AP's revamped voting system, which asked each expert to choose a top five for MVP and top three for all other awards. First-place votes were worth 10 points in MVP voting, while second through fifth-place votes were worth 5, 3, 2 and 1. For other awards, first-place votes were worth five points, second were worth three and third were one.

When, Where to Watch NFL Honors

Winners will be announced at the NFL Honors on February 8 at 9 p.m. ET. The show will air on CBS and the NFL Network and be available to stream on Paramount+ and NFL+. The awards show comes just days before Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday, February 11, in Las Vegas. The 49ers or Lions from the NFC will take on the Ravens or Chiefs from the AFC on Super Bowl Sunday.
