Prior to Super Bowl LIV between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, a number of current NFL players have already made their picks for the game.

The Super Bowl is already known to attract a number of fans and NFL players from across the country, but the NFL's Pro-Bowl was also played in Florida, leading to even more players attending the game, as well as different media events beforehand.

The game is sure to be a spectacle for fans with the Chiefs high-octane offense led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, while the 49ers will try to stop Mahomes with their No. 1 ranked defense that held teams to an average of 252.5 yards per game.

While appearing on ESPN's Get Up on Thursday morning, Denver Broncos' linebacker Von Miller picked the 49ers to win the game, focusing on the different aspects of their defense.

"If there's a team that could take the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes down, it's got to be the 49ers," Miller said. "They got five defensive linemen taken in the first round, they got Richard Sherman, they got a lot of guys with experience."

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley also picked the 49ers, and like Miller, noted their strong defense and their running game, led by Raheem Mostert, who rushed for 229 yards and 4 touchdowns in the 49ers game against the Green Bay Packers in the National Football Conference (NFC) championship.

"Obviously the Chiefs got Pat Mahomes and all those guys, but defense wins championships and they [49ers] can run the ball really well," Barkley said while appearing on ESPN's First Take on Wednesday. "I think it's gonna be a close game, but 49ers gonna find a way."

Derrick Henry, the Tennessee Titans running back and the 2019 NFL rushing yards leader, also chose the 49ers to win, noting nearly the same points as Barkley.

"I just think the 49ers, if anyone can beat this [Chiefs] team, the 49ers can do it," Henry said on First Take. "You run the ball, you play good defense, you will win the Super Bowl."

On the other hand, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen stated that he is picking the Chiefs to win the big game.

"I'm going with the Kansas City Chiefs," Thielen said on First Take. "I think Patrick Mahomes is a difference-maker, I think those receivers for Kansas City are difference makers."

Following the Pro-Bowl, a number of players who participated were asked for their picks by ESPN, with many leaning towards the Chiefs.

"I think it's going to be a really good game, but if you make me choose I'm going to go with the Chiefs," Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Marshal Yanda told ESPN. "I just think that Mahomes is going to make his plays. So, I'm going with Kansas City."

Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joe Haden also agreed, choosing the Chiefs to win.

"I'm going to go with Kansas City," Haden told ESPN. "That offense is crazy and their defense getting Tyrann Mathieu I think really, really helped them out. But I think their offense is just very, very powerful."
