Azealia Banks is known for picking fights on social media with other musicians. She's targeted Zayn Malik, Miley Cyrus and, most recently, Cardi B, among others. However, one of her biggest feuds finally came to an end on Thursday when she offered rap goddess Nicki Minaj an apology for the mean things she's said about her in the past.

The rappers have been beefing ever since Banks wrote on Twitter that she had turned down an opportunity to go on tour with Minaj in 2012. Minaj seemed to refute that claim, responding to the tweet on her own account, "#ManTheseBitchesDelirious."

The claws have been out ever since. But in light of her new fight with emerging superstar rapper Cardi B, whom Banks referred to as "the poor man's Nicki Minaj" on Monday, the "212" rapper put an end to the beef when she said that Minaj deserved to be considered the top female rapper.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, Banks acknowledged the "loads of unnecessary jabs" she's fired at Minaj over the years and suggested that Minaj should be receiving praise for all she's done in the music industry.

"If ANYONE is going to be heralded as the face of female rap for this generation it's Nicki, and if ANYONE deserves a number one record AND her very long overdue Grammy win, it's Nicki. Nicki absolutely must be first in line as she has set the tone for this new female rap archetype. I have LOADS of respect for this woman's hustle, drive and determination. She deserves to win FIRST," she wrote.

Banks must really have been in an apologetic mood, because she slid in Minaj's direct messages on Instagram shortly afterward and finally apologized for the "catty shit" she's said about Minaj in the past. Minaj appeared to be ready to quash the beef, writing, "You're very talented & very smart. Focus on what really matters from now on."

Although Banks promised she would heed Minaj's advice, it's too soon to tell if this means she'll refrain from starting social media wars as she's done so many times before. It's also worth noting that she hasn't offered up any apologies for the shots she fired at Cardi earlier in the week, but she has since deleted the post after Cardi posted a video of herself dancing to her Billboard chart-topping single "Bodak Yellow," which went platinum on Monday.
