The new season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? hasn't even premiered yet and there's already cross-couple drama.

The latest iteration of the 90 Day spin-off, which follows returning couples from the franchise and premieres August 28, will feature Kimberly Menzies and Usman Umar, Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya, Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi, Elizabeth Potthast Castravet and Andrei Castravet, Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh, Ed "Big Ed" Brown and Liz Woods, and Bilal Hazziez and Shaeeda Sween, who just wrapped their first season.

Jovi and Yara, who documented their journey to the altar through the K-1 visa process on 90 Day Fiancé in 2020 and returned for Happily Ever After? in 2021, talked to Newsweek on August 22 about their upcoming season and also weighed in on the Bilal and Shaeeda's "Tell All" episode, which aired the night before.

"When we have our 'Tell All,' I already know that I'm on Shaeeda's side," Yara said. "Bilal gets on my nerves sometimes. I want to be like, Sit down, be humble."

The "Tell All" is the equivalent of the series finale/reunion. Because Yara and Jovi, and Bilal and Shaeeda will all be on this season's Happily Ever After? they'll get to meet at the end of the season when they tape.

"They have a lot of tension between themselves," Jovi said of the couple. "I'm curious to see how that plays out."

Fans of the show are used to tension between the Kansas-based entrepreneur and his wife, a yoga instructor who relocated from Trinidad and Tobago to move in with the father of two. Whether over Bilal's fastidiousness, penchant for pranks or tendency to, as Shaeeda says, "lecture" her, the couple's fate seemed in question all season long. Add to that a disagreement over a prenup and baby plans, and conflict with Bilal's ex-wife, Shahidah, and the couple's future seemed uncertain.

But they made it down the aisle, and now loyal viewers will get to witness whether they're in wedded bliss or things are amiss, and Yara and Jovi are here for it.

As for the other 90 Day newcomers Yara and Jovi are here for, they particularly enjoyed watching cast members Jibri Bell and John Mendes, brother to newcomer Patrick Mendes, go at it during the August 21 "Tell All."

"I was enjoying the drama between John and Jibri," Jovi told Newsweek. "John was hilarious. He made the whole show."

Added Yara, "I need him to be on Single Life or something. I would absolutely watch him, he's so entertaining."

Yet another spinoff, 90 Day: The Single Life, focuses on past participants who are currently not in a relationship. In fact, before his reconciliation with Liz, Big Ed participated in the season of Single Life that aired earlier this year.

The new season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? premieres Sunday, August 28, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on TLC and discovery+.
