An OnlyFans creator from Ukraine has been using the platform to update her subscribers on the conflict and raise funds to support defense efforts in her country
Russia's invasion of Ukraine is now entering its second week and at least a million people have now fled the country, according to the UN.
Lilu Miller, a popular model on the pay-to-view service, who is based in Kyiv, has stopped posting her usual explicit content on the platform in favor of information about the war.
"I immediately realized that Russia had started the war, and that this was the point of no return," she said in an interview with MEL Magazine.
Miller told the lifestyle magazine that she and her family managed to escape the capital and are now staying in what she called a "small downtrodden village."
On February 28, she posted an update on OnlyFans.
"I am more or less safe but terrible things are still happening in many cities of Ukraine. I ask everyone who is not indifferent to everything that's happening to support my people, my army, and, of course, me," she said in a video at the time.
Miller has also spoken of hearing explosions and seeing military equipment as she and her family fled Kyiv.
According to the outlet, Miller further said in her video: "I ran out into the street to my car with a small suitcase and my beloved cat, and fortunately managed to pick up my relatives. Then we just drove, even though we didn't know where we were going."
She added: "When we were driving, we saw a lot of military equipment and could hear explosions everywhere. It was terrible."
Another cosplay creator Sai Westwood wrote a message to her OnlyFans subscribers on February 25.
"I don't want to be political here, but you must know that the war has come to my home. It feels like a nightmare, and I don't know what the future [holds]. I will try to post content, but you must understand that the situation is critical. I will be appreciate if you wanna help me and give additional support," she said, according to MEL Magazine.
On March 1, she shared another message, telling her fans that she and her family had managed to flee the country.
"I want you to know that I am safe," Westwood said. "I hope one day I can return to my home."

Another Ukrainian creator who is popular on OnlyFans, Venus Blessing, tweeted last week asking her subscribers for support and revealed that she had been sheltering inside a metro station.

"It's third day of WAR in my country and I finally moved from Kiev to small town. Because of that I needed to leave all my belongings and my home, so I don't know when I will be able to make new cosplays. So I really need your help and support with money. Thank you!" she tweeted on February 26.
She later added: "I lived in the hell for past days. We slept in fear in metro because of shootings and explosions and I don't know if my house will be fine when I return (if I return). I left my computer and all my content there and I'm really sad because of that..."
Another OnlyFans creator based in Ukraine, Mizuki, is also appealing to her subscribers to support her, still according to MEL Magazine.
"Due to the situation in my country Ukraine, there will be no cosplays. I've been living in fear for two days now and don't know what to do. I live in Kiev and constantly hear shelling," she tweeted. "Therefore, guys, if it's not difficult for you to support me with money, this is very important."
Another OnlyFans model, Katsumi, has also appealed to her fans to support her.
"I don't know when I can be back with new cosplays and content. I live in hell for 3 days already and idk how long it will last..." she tweeted. "Now I do really need your help and support with money during those difficult times."
Meanwhile, a number of Putin's celebrity friends in the West have turned their back on him.
Notably, actors Gerard Depardieu and Steven Seagal have both called for an end to the fighting in Ukraine.
